I MADE AN AI MUSIC VIDEO ABOUT SWEDISH SODA AND MENDED THE CURTAIN! (The Most Chaotic Two-Show Day EVER) đ€Żđ¶
Has your life ever pivoted seamlessly from high-stakes theatre performance to composing a tribute song to a soft drink? I promise you, this video is a perfect, hilarious chronicle of my two-show Saturday, packed with theatrical insights, unexpected creative bursts, and a profound philosophical disagreement with the colors of winter. You’ll get great entertainment value, a look into the real workings of a theatre crew, and feel an immediate connection to the sheer exhaustion (and subsequent mania) that comes with double-show days. đ
It was a grueling two-show day at the theatre, demanding maximum energy from everyone. The crew was running a delightful, complex little dance of professional development. With Anki returning, the magnificent understudy Terran gracefully transitioned back to her role as production assistant—a true professional! Felicia, our props master, was bravely learning the stage manager ropes, while Simon, the official stage manager, enjoyed the luxurious role of observer. Meanwhile, My tackled the massive responsibility of the props department. It was a beautiful, chaotic study in teamwork and cross-training! đ
In the brief, necessary respite between performances, I slipped out for a walk. I used this moment of quiet contemplation to discuss a critical aesthetic issue: my utter disdain for the traditional colors of winter—that garish, clashing combination of biting green and aggressive red. I need subtlety, not a visual scream! đ ♂️đČ
This little stroll led to an unexpected, profound discovery: Julmust! This traditional Swedish soda, flavored with hops and malt, is nothing short of liquid gold. It is so deliciously unique, it instantly inspired a burst of sheer creative mania. I returned to the theatre and immediately tasked the music-generating app SUNO with composing an entire song dedicated to the glories of Julmust. The result was spectacular! I then grabbed my camera and, with the help of the exhausted crew, filmed a ridiculously energetic, totally impromptu music video right there in the dressing room! đŹđ„€ You simply must see the final, breathtaking (and slightly sweaty) result.
As if that weren't enough, my day concluded with a noble, quiet act of service. I noticed the fringe on the main stage curtain was desperately frayed. So, after the cast roulette was won by the actor Ola (David the makeup artist delivered the gossip!), I sat down and meticulously mended the curtain. Art, finance, music, and domestic sewing—a full day!
