That question hit me the moment I rediscovered the oldest photo on my iPhone. Taken on January 15, 2025 — a date I don’t remember for the location, but I *definitely* remember for the feeling. It’s just me, indoors somewhere in Sweden — but there’s sunlight on my face like someone cracked open the ceiling and let spring leak through 🌞

 I’m wearing my neon yellow beanie 💛 — the one that makes people turn and smile (or blink), my H&M Studio aviator sunglasses 🕶️ reflecting the light perfectly, and my bold multicolored tiger-striped faux fur bomber jacket 🐯 with a hood that practically purrs "extra." The background? A blurry doorframe, a red sign above it, but honestly, who cares? The sun was the star of this shot — and maybe that’s why I smiled like that.

Living in Sweden, you kind of hibernate through the darkest months without even realising it. You keep your head down. You function. You exist in greyscale. And then, one morning in January, the light returns — not dramatically, not with fireworks — but just enough to make you look up and say, “Oh. There I am.”

This image isn’t just a flash of personal style — though I *do* love a bold winter look — it’s a memory of transition. A seasonal shift. A private reminder that even the deepest winters aren’t forever. That light always comes back. And sometimes, it’s already there — you just need to notice it through a window, smile, and take the photo.
