Magnus Borén was educated at the Ballet Academy in Stockholm 1990–93. He began his career as a dancer in Nye Carte Blanche, Norway's modern national ballet. There he danced to works by, among others, Kenneth Kvarnström, Mats Ek, Kersti Alveberg and Jens Östberg. He has also been active in the Modern Jazz Dance Ensemble, Kreuzmann Dance and Caprioli Dance as well as some films, among other things he sings in the choir in the film Mamma Mia !.
As a choreographer, Magnus Borén has worked with the Stockholm Musical Ensemble, among other things. He has also choreographed short films in both Sweden and Norway as well as several of his own modern works.
