This is the closest I ever got to Angela Lansbury. Well, if you don't count my sitting in the audience for that day's matine of Noël Cowards BLITHE SPIRIT, at Shubert Theatre, starring four-time Tony winner Angela Lansbury (Mame, Dear World, Gypsy, Sweeney Todd) as psychic Madame Arcati; two-time Tony winner Christine Ebersole (Grey Gardens and 42nd Street) as the ghostly Elvira; and Rupert Everett ("My Best Friend's Wedding"). This was the first show I ever saw on Broadway.
