The month of May is for celebrating the lovely Vermouth
MARTINI
Ingredients
60 ml of vodka or gin
1 tablespoon dry vermouth,
garnished with olives or lemon peel
Dry vermouth, gin or vodka, and a little ice can be combined by stirring them together or by shaking them in a cocktail shaker.
Strain into a cold martini glass
Serve with a twist of lemon peel or an olive on a cocktail stick.
VERMOUTHAND SODA
Ingredients
ice, 50ml red, white, or rosé vermouth, and enough sparkling water to top it off (around 200ml).
As a garnish Lemon slice, three green olives skewered on a cocktail stick
Ice should be added to a highball glass, followed by the vermouth and sparkling water. Lemon slice and skewered olives should be used as garnish.
BRONX COCKTAIL
Ingredients
50 ml of dry gin
Sweet vermouth in 25 ml
30 ml of dry vermouth
freshly squeezed orange juice in 25 ml
Orange peel garnished with ice (see advice below)
Pour the orange juice, both vermouths, the gin, and a sizable amount of ice into a cocktail shaker. Double strain the beverage into a coupe or martini glass after vigorously shaking it until the outside of the shaker feels extremely cold.
Twist the orange peel strip over the cocktail to release the oils. Drop it into the drink or, if you'd rather, discard it.
BOULEVARDIER
Ingredients
Bourbon 25 ml
Sweet vermouth 25 ml
25 ml of Campari
ice with a twist of orange peel
Method
Pour the Campari, vermouth, and bourbon into a cocktail shaker, mixing glass, or jug. A sizable handful of ice should be added, and the glass should be stirred until it feels extremely cold.
Strain the beverage into a glass filled with ice, and add an orange peel twist as a garnish.
NEGRONI SBAGLIATO
Ingredients Ingredients
Campari 25ml,
sweet vermouth 25ml,
then prosecco to top up the ice
As a garnish
1 slice of orange
Pour the Campari, sweet vermouth, cubed ice, and prosecco into a highball glass. This will prevent the bubbles from spilling over the edge of the glass. Pour the prosecco down a bar or long spoon that has been placed in the glass. Combine the glass's contents, top it off, and garnish with an orange slice.
