Ever scroll all the way back in your camera roll? 🌀 This is the oldest photo on my iPhone, snapped on 15 februari 2025 inside the costume shop at the theatre where I’ve worked since 2008 🎭. Fourteen shows later… and this messy little moment still makes me smile 😅.

I'm in full chaotic fashion mode:

 The costume shop behind me? A glorious mess of wigs, garments, steamers, and secrets 🤫. It’s not always this wild… or maybe it is 👀.

Here’s the truth: I’m not a great tailor 🙃 — but luckily, being a dresser is more about being fast, creative, and knowing how to mend anything with one eye closed and a coffee in hand ☕🪡. And that, my friend, I am good at 💪🏼.

This pic is cluttered, real, and 100% me: working, thriving, and wearing five fashion collabs at once 😆. Proof that inspiration doesn’t need to be polished. Sometimes, it’s just... backstage chaos caught in the flash 📸✨.

What if winter style met backstage chaos?

Some photos don’t just capture a moment — they *freeze* your whole vibe ❄️✨ This one? It’s November 23, 2024, and I’d just biked to the theatre through Stockholm’s icy wind, cheeks burning red from the cold 🚲🧣

I’d stepped into the costume shop still foggy from the ride, wearing my *second* pair of silver mirrored sunglasses from H&M Studio 🕶️ (because the first ones broke dramatically mid-season). Wrapped in my oversized second-hand KENZO x H&M tiger scarf 🐅, orange beanie 🍊, and cozy blue ERDEM x H&M wool sweater 💙 — I was feeling like a stylish bug that survived a blizzard 😎

 

Behind me: our mighty daily steamer 💨 — a tank of a machine that only breaks once a year (then gets sent to the spa 🚑). Out of focus: a glowing green emergency exit 💚 because *of course* there’s always some drama waiting backstage 🎭

This was a regular winter morning at work — nothing special at the time, but now it’s a little time capsule 🕰️ A reminder that biking through sleet might just be better than the gym 🚴‍♂️💪 and that second-hand fashion always tells the best stories 🛍️❤️

What if NORMAL was anything but?

It started like any regular day in the costume shop – until Johanna returned from a “quick run” to NORMAL and turned our ironing board into a glittering snack runway 🤯🍞✨

📅 The photo was taken on October 18, 2024, right here at the theatre’s costume department in Stockholm. To properly show off her haul, we draped the ironing board in turquoise sequin fabric – obviously! 💎🧵

So what did she bring? One bag of garlic bread, one of truffle bread, baked squeezed pretzels, BBQ chips – and apples freshly picked from her family’s countryside home. 🍎🍏🍠 A full-on snack extravaganza, proudly featuring Johanna in her natural habitat: snack queen mode activated! 👑🛍️

👯 Johanna joined us as an assistant to me and our makeup artist David in autumn 2023, right when the current production started. Her humor, energy, and snacks will be deeply missed in the next, smaller production – there’s just no need for her role this time. But the great news? She’s coming back in autumn 2026 for our next big musical! 🎭💄🎬

📸What if The Thinker Worked in a Costume Shop?

Caught somewhere between *art installation* and *accidental fashion icon*, this is the oldest photo on my iPhone—taken October 12, 2024, in the costume shop at the theatre 🎭. I’m wearing my silver-gold sequin Zara jacket (second hand from Vinted ✨), my fave camo pants 🪖, and white-soled trainers (RIP—they now live at the theatre's shoe department 👟👋). I’m sitting like Rodin’s *The Thinker*, but surrounded by glitter, red panties, and a neon pink toy bunny 🐰💗 I found ages ago in a charity shop. Gift? Forgotten present? No idea.

Behind me: a costume rack of “almosts”—outfits prepped for the show but never used 👗. A mannequin in a red sequin bustier and matching panties keeps silent watch 💃. It's 11:45 AM—probably a Saturday or Sunday matinee prep 🕚☕.  

I started buying second-hand during *TOOTSIE* and honestly, I don’t even remember my pre-thrift wardrobe anymore ♻️👕. Most of what I wear now has a past, a story, and some sparkle. Like this jacket. Like this moment. Like this me 💫.  

Sometimes the forgotten photos hold the most unexpected stories. And yes, the bunny is still with me.
