**What if a bag of salt could tell a story?** 🌿✨

This is the oldest photo on my phone, taken on June 10, 2024. It’s a simple bag of bath salt, but it carries a story. It was a gift from my friend Magnus Boren when he returned from a three-month stay in South America. He visited *Sal de Maras*, the ancient Peruvian salt mines in the Sacred Valley, where pink salt has been harvested since pre-Incan times. The salt is mineral-rich, hand-collected, and known for its mild, complex taste. 🌸🧂   

The packaging caught my eye immediately. It features a woman lying on her stomach, possibly with a flower behind her ear, and the word *Maracuyá* in bold green letters. *Maracuyá*—passion fruit—is a tropical gem, bursting with tangy sweetness and packed with vitamin C. The blend of salt and fruit essence makes this bath soak feel like a luxurious escape. 🌊🍋

210508 The Perfect Present for Magnus and a Walk Around Östermalm

In this episode I still can’t upload to IGTV, I give Magnus the perfect present and we go for a walk around one of the poshest neighbourhoods in Stockholm: Östermalm. And in the evening I’m finally able to upload to IGTV again. Karlavägen is an esplanade on Östermalm in Stockholm's inner city. The street stretches from Birger Jarlsgatan to Oxenstiernsgatan. Between Birger Jarlsgatan and Engelbrektsgatan, Karlavägen is an ordinary street lined with wide sidewalks with planted trees. In the other section, the lanes are separated by a wide avenue with a walkway in the middle. Karlavägen is temporarily interrupted at Karlaplan. Some famous buildings along Karlavägen are Engelbrektskyrkan, Arkitekturskolan KTH, Östra Reals Gymnasium and Garrisonen. Karlavägen was for a long time a simple country road that went by names like Gröna Gatan and Norra Humlegårdsgatan. In 1866 came Albert Lindhagen's new city plan where Karlavägen was pointed out as a new parade street with Karlaplan as the star location. In 1868, the Tyskbagarbergen north of the street had been blown up, thus making it possible to build on the north side of the street as well. It’s name honors Swedish kings such as Charles X Gustav, Charles XI and Charles XII. Östermalm (Swedish pronunciation: [œstɛrˈmalm]; "Eastern city-borough") is a 2.56 km² large district in central Stockholm, Sweden. With 71,802 inhabitants, it is one of the most populous districts in Stockholm. It is an extremely expensive area, having the highest housing prices in Sweden. During the reign of the ruler of all of Scandinavia, king Eric of Pomerania in the early 15th century, a royal cowshed/barn was erected on the lands of the village Vädla. Since the town of Stockholm had grown and started to encroach on the borders of that village, there were many complaints about animals causing damage in the town. In the 17th century, the inhabitants of Stockholm were allowed to keep their cattle there. In 1639, parts of the allocated land for the cowshed/barn were put up for development. In 1672 the eastern part became a military exercise field. For the following 200 years, it was the home of some higher officers, but most inhabitants were poor. A new town plan presented around 1880 implied a grid of streets and avenues that was to become lined with elegant houses, with 4–6 floors. When the plan was implemented, it ended the rustic appearance of the district. The old official name "Ladugårdslandet" (literal meaning "The Barn Land") was replaced with "Östermalm" (literal meaning Eastern Outer City). Since the Crown had been the owner of parts of the district for centuries, a number of official buildings, museums and higher public educational institutions were located in the area. In the 20th century, a large number of embassies, including those of America, Britain, France, Germany, Poland, Thailand, Norway and Malaysia were established in Östermalm.[1][2] The Berwaldhallen (1979), home of both the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Swedish Radio Choir, is situated on Dag Hammarskjölds väg, Östermalm.
