This week was absolute chaos, darlings! Come with me for a raw, unfiltered look at the messy, fun, and strangely beautiful life of a content creator who is also working in live theatre production. We start on Friday, which really felt like a Monday since we had a day off, and trust me, the theatre space looked like a bomb had exploded after two days of intense filming and a huge photoshoot. 😫 I had to head in extra early just to shovel the debris and get the stage ready for tonight's first show. This is the glamorous reality of "content creation," folks—a lot of sweeping! 🧹🎭

But on my way, a little miracle happened. I popped into H&M to see the new Glenn Martens collaboration. I wasn't expecting much—it all seemed a bit underwhelming, to be honest—but tucked away on a lonely rack was the jacket. The one everyone wanted. The last one. And, the universe truly loves me, it was exactly my size! A total fashion victory that set the mood for the rest of the day. 🥳 It’s amazing how a small, unexpected win can completely shift your energy. It's not just about the clothes; it's about the little bit of divine recognition! 👑

When I got to the theatre, the chaos continued, but in a fun way! Lovia, our incredible production assistant, had secretly decked out the canteen for a belated Halloween celebration. Think spiders, cobwebs, and pumpkin spice chaos everywhere! 🎃 The production team often works long hours, and it's these spontaneous, creative little moments that keep the whole team sane and connected. It’s a nice reminder that we’re all just a bunch of playful misfits behind the scenes. 👻

Speaking of amazing people, I ran into our phenomenal costume designer, Anna Hagert. She was in her element, making sure all the silks and seams were perfect for the show's grand opening. Anna is a walking encyclopedia of good taste, and she gave me two new composers to obsess over: the hauntingly beautiful Max Richter and the minimalist master Arvo Pärt. If you're struggling to find focus music or background tracks for your next video, these names are pure gold. 📀 You know I love finding new music, so I immediately downloaded their latest work. Their compositions are perfect for deep work and adding a layer of sophisticated atmosphere to any creative task. ✍️🎶

We also usually run a little contest in my stories every month for the best "establishing shot" of the new month, but for November, I've already made my final, and frankly hilarious, decision. It's a quick, unexpected clip of an ambulance racing past my house with sirens wailing.

Experience the final shows of a two-year Stockholm hit playing in Malmö & Gothenburg four-week tour—packed with candid backstage moments, vegan cuisine, time-saving travel hacks, and hotel room luxury.

I’m Joakim, content creator, vlogger, and costume supervisor—here’s Part One of our tour life vlog:

I wake up on the 19th floor at @gothiatowers with panoramic views of the city and the famous Liseberg park—all before breakfast. Lunch and dinner are catered by the talented @melkerssonsmat, while our production team at @krall\_entertainment—especially @tobiaseliasson, @andreakrall & @sophiastolpe—ensure we’re well-supported.

The energy hits high gear today: arriving early at Scandinavium because our final two shows start one hour sooner. In the makeup + costume space, I receive a surprise from David—miniature gin for me and limoncello for our assistant, Johanna. A perfect pre-show pick-me-up 🍸

Next, I take you behind the curtain with a mini backstage tour: lighting shafts, set pieces, costume racks, quick run-throughs, and the camaraderie that makes theatre life so electric. When Johanna arrives, she surprises us with two self-painted portraits—mine featuring vivid snapshots from my viral “SWEDISH WORD OF THE DAY” costume series.

Lunch break = vegan curry casserole with glass noodles—every bite is comforting, flavorful and perfect for a touring creative. Then it’s on to stage meetings and soundcheck, followed by some tour logistics: Tobias and Stefan pack up and return the leased washing machine now that the tour ends.

Dinner wraps things with a delicious Thai casserole with oumph and rice—fuel for the final curtain call.

🎭 Ever wondered what it’s like to be a content creator on tour? Join me for a behind-the-scenes look at a day filled with creativity, exploration, and a touch of chaos!

Our journey begins at the MALMÖ ARENA HOTEL, perched atop the iconic MALMÖ ARENA. From my 12th-floor room, I enjoy breathtaking views of Malmö’s skyline, the Turning Torso, Öresundsbron, and even Copenhagen. It’s the perfect backdrop for a day in the life.

Morning routines involve editing yesterday’s Instagram stories, uploading content across platforms, and crafting engaging captions. A nostalgic moment arises as I find and delete the oldest photo on my iPhone—a blurry 2015 selfie!

Breakfast at PERCY’S is a vegan’s paradise. The friendly staff and delicious options set the tone for the day. Post-breakfast, David (our talented makeup artist), Johanna (our indispensable assistant), and I head to Emporia Mall in Hyllie. Known for its unique architecture and vast array of stores, Emporia offers a delightful maze of exploration. Johanna finds quirky pink boot-shaped mugs at Tiger of Copenhagen, and we stock up on instant noodles at Willy’s.

Back at the arena, with costumes delayed, we decide to rent bikes to explore Malmö. However, our adventure takes a turn as we get lost and realize David is missing! Thankfully, we reunite, sharing laughs over our misadventure.

Dinner at Nilsson’s is a creamy vegan risotto delight. As night falls, we don hard hats and set up dressing rooms and makeup stations. David, dealing with sore knees, gets a wheelbarrow ride around the arena, while Johanna battles a sore neck and back. Despite the challenges, our spirits remain high.

Just as we’re wrapping up, the long-awaited costumes arrive. We decide to tackle that task tomorrow and instead head to the Skybar for a well-deserved beer, watching the sun set over Denmark. It’s moments like these that make the journey unforgettable.
