What *is* glamour if not a backstage pass with a view? Darling, this is no ordinary Thursday in Gothenburg—this is theatre *with altitude.* We’re perched on the 19th floor of the divine @gothiatowers, sipping espresso and gazing out over @lisebergab, which looks like a candy-coloured dream. 🎡🏨 The tour has brought us to @svandinaviumsrena, and tonight—brace yourself—is the final Thursday performance *ever*. History, darling, with wardrobe changes.

Now let me tell you: you haven’t lived until you’ve danced between vegan catering and costume chaos with a wig-wearing makeup artist who sings only *one line* of “Dog and Butterfly” on loop like it’s Mozart. 🎤💄The scene is pure theatre—both onstage and off. Tonight’s cast shuffle? Delicious. Cissi Wrangel returns in *her* original role like a phoenix in sequins. Carro reclaims her crown, Hanna rises gloriously to Annmari, Emma stuns as Titti, and Emilia? Sussi in full bloom. A metamorphosis of the highest order.

And Gustav—the sound engineer—takes his final bow tonight. Emotional! Symbolic! *Iconic!* One must always celebrate the tech boys who keep our microphones hot and our illusions intact. 🎚️✨

Meanwhile, Tommy Körberg, whose knee remains fabulously uncooperative, travels around the arena via golf cart like some kind of wounded deity. It’s transport *and* theatre. A performance on wheels. Golf-chic. The stuff of legend.

But of course, what is performance without ritual? By day, I zip through town on my elegant @styristall bicycle 🚲—chasing errands and espresso—and by night I return to the pulse of the theatre. It’s all lights, lashes, and lanyards. And after the final curtain falls, it’s only right we descend upon a boulevard bar—myself, my assistant Johanna, the ineffable David (makeup maestro and accidental songbird), and the spellbinding Lindy Larsson with his husband Stefan. 🍷🌈

We toast. We laugh. We gossip with purpose. Because even on tour, *especially* on tour, the creators must indulge in their post-show poetry. A pint, a plate, a bit of beautiful nonsense. 🍕💬

“Why don’t you… bike through a Nordic city, eat lasagna like it’s couture, rule the backstage like it’s Versailles, and end the day swathed in skyline cocktails?”

Yes, I did all that—in one day—and you can watch every delicious second of it. This isn’t just a vlog, it’s a lifestyle, a visual opera in four acts. Gothenburg is my stage, the museum café my runway, the theatre my war zone, and the skybar my Versailles.

ACT I: The Morning of Marvels (No Breakfast, Just Brilliance)

Who needs breakfast when you can rent a bike from @stryistall and hurtle through Göteborg’s leafy boulevards straight into a design temple? The Röhsska Museet, darling. Sweden’s only museum for design, fashion, and applied arts. Think: 1916 National Romanticism with red brick nobility by Carl Westman. It whispers “timeless” with every cornice.

Breakfast? Um… not vibing 😐 As a vegan I have to FIND a manager 🧍‍♂️, who then disappears into the kitchen like a culinary ninja 🥷 to get me soy yoghurt and plant milk. 10 minutes later: breakfast appears. It’s a saga. No thanks 😬

After the morning struggle, it’s time to glam up 💄, grab my essentials 🎒 and head over to @svandinaviumsrena for show prep! We set up the dressing rooms 👠, organize costumes 👗, and try to make backstage feel cosy 🌸 The vibe is unreal 🎭✨

In the evening, the amazing @sophiastolpe gives me a luftbro 🚗 (don’t ask – Gothenburg slang 🤓) downtown to TAVOLO 🍽️ With oversized decor, fab vibes and great vegan options 🌿, it’s the perfect spot to catch up with our director Markus Virta 🎬

From Malmö to Gothenbur: Tour Life, Vegan Breakfast & Hotel Views 🇸🇪

Ever stayed in a hotel room so high up you could wave to Copenhagen? 👋🇩🇰 In this video I’m on tour with the show, living my best life at @bestwesternmalmoarenahotel 🌆—right above @malmoarena! My 12th floor room has views of Malmö, Turning Torso, Öresundsbron and even Denmark 😍 The best part? Breakfast! 🌱 The vegan options at the hotel restaurant PERCY’S are 🔥 and the staff? Absolute gems 💎

It’s our last morning in Hyllie and I’m packing up (or trying to) when there’s a knock at the door—Karin, a sweet superfan staying at the hotel! She pops in for a chat 🥰 which means I barely get anything packed 😂 Turns out I’ve hoarded more stuff than I thought 🎭✌️We head off to Hyllie station 🚆 for our train to Gothenburg. Crowded train chaos but I finally find a seat 🙌

Once in Gothenburg, it’s a quick taxi with David & Johanna 🚖 to our next home: GOTHIA TOWERS 🌟 I’m on the 19th floor (yes, again with the views 😍) while the others are in tower 1. Touring isn’t always this glam, but when it is… ya gotta enjoy it! 😉

Understudies Save the Show in Malmö Arena | Backstage Musical Tour Chaos

🎭 Backstage mayhem meets last-show madness in MALMÖ ARENA — understudies fly in, actors drop out, and the show must go on… somehow. This is theatre chaos at its finest. 👇

The final performance in Malmö was already wild — we were packing up costumes during the show to prep for the move to Gothenburg 🚛👗. But THEN… Lindy Larsson lost his voice 😱 and Per called out sick before the matinée 🤧. Suddenly, all plans were thrown out the stage door.

Enter: the understudies.

Tord, usually playing the priest, stepped in for Per. But with Lindy out, Denny — who normally plays the Laser — had to take Lindy’s role. Great! Problem solved? Not quite.

Turns out Tord is also the understudy for the lawyer, meaning he’d need to be in two places at once. Theatre magic has limits… 💀

SOLUTION? Jonas, an actor who usually understudies the farmer Axel, is thrown into the lawyer role. He goes on unrehearsed, saves the day, and the audience never suspects a thing. THAT is what we call a theatrical miracle 💫👏

In the middle of this glorious chaos, I’m running around backstage (as usual), packing costumes mid-show, prepping to move the whole production to Gothenburg the next morning. Time is tight, people are tired, but the vibe is ✨UNMATCHED✨.

We’re staying at the lovely @bestwesternmalmoarenahotel, directly above the arena. I’ve got the best view in Malmö 🌆 (Turning Torso, Copenhagen, and the Öresund Bridge!). The vegan food is incredible, staff are absolute stars, and I feel so taken care of 🫶

Breakfast at Percy’s:

Located within the Malmö Arena Hotel, Percy’s offers a delightful vegan breakfast. Sharing the meal with Hjalmar, Moa, Johanna, and Git adds warmth to the morning.

City Exploration:

Git, Johanna, and I take a swift four-minute train ride to Malmö City, heading to the Triangeln shopping mall. Before leaving, the hotel concierge, having seen my Instagram stories, offers a clothes rack for my room—a thoughtful gesture.

AB Småland Café:

In the heart of Malmö, we discover AB Småland café, a haven for sustainable shopping and delightful treats. Johanna and I indulge in some second-hand shopping, embracing eco-friendly fashion choices.

Back at the Hotel:

Returning to the hotel, we meet up with David and his husband P.M. True to their word, the hotel staff have placed a clothes rack in my room—organization achieved!

Arena Preparations:

As we head to the arena, actors Per Svensson and Gustav Levin find themselves navigating the backstage corridors. On stage, rehearsals focus on refining exits and entrances, ensuring a seamless performance.

Dinner and Final Run-Through:

Dinner at Percy’s features delectable vegan meatballs, potatoes, and lingonberries—a comforting meal before the final run-through. Everyone dons their costumes, though wigs and makeup are saved for the main event. The day concludes with notes in the greenroom, wrapping up a day filled with creativity and camaraderie.

Our journey begins at the MALMÖ ARENA HOTEL, perched atop the iconic MALMÖ ARENA. From my 12th-floor room, I enjoy breathtaking views of Malmö’s skyline, the Turning Torso, Öresundsbron, and even Copenhagen. It’s the perfect backdrop for a day in the life.

Morning routines involve editing yesterday’s Instagram stories, uploading content across platforms, and crafting engaging captions. A nostalgic moment arises as I find and delete the oldest photo on my iPhone—a blurry 2015 selfie!

Breakfast at PERCY’S is a vegan’s paradise. The friendly staff and delicious options set the tone for the day. Post-breakfast, David (our talented makeup artist), Johanna (our indispensable assistant), and I head to Emporia Mall in Hyllie. Known for its unique architecture and vast array of stores, Emporia offers a delightful maze of exploration. Johanna finds quirky pink boot-shaped mugs at Tiger of Copenhagen, and we stock up on instant noodles at Willy’s.

Back at the arena, with costumes delayed, we decide to rent bikes to explore Malmö. However, our adventure takes a turn as we get lost and realize David is missing! Thankfully, we reunite, sharing laughs over our misadventure.

Dinner at Nilsson’s is a creamy vegan risotto delight. As night falls, we don hard hats and set up dressing rooms and makeup stations. David, dealing with sore knees, gets a wheelbarrow ride around the arena, while Johanna battles a sore neck and back. Despite the challenges, our spirits remain high.

Just as we’re wrapping up, the long-awaited costumes arrive. We decide to tackle that task tomorrow and instead head to the Skybar for a well-deserved beer, watching the sun set over Denmark. It’s moments like these that make the journey unforgettable.

**What if… I Actually Remembered to Take More Photos?**

This is the oldest photo on my phone, taken on May 19, 2024, at the season wrap party for our musical 🎭. We’ve been running for two seasons, and we have two more ahead—so there’s plenty to celebrate! 🥂 But this moment is bittersweet: some cast members are leaving, some are returning later, and some are staying a little longer before moving on.  

I’m notoriously bad at taking photos with the incredible actors I work with. I’ve shared the stage with some of Sweden’s finest, but I always forget to capture the moment. Some, like Magnus Härenstam and Lasse Berghagen, are no longer with us, and I regret not having more memories saved. So, on this night, slightly tipsy 🍷, I made an effort!  

Here I am with Sofia Pekkari, Carro Gustafsson, Rolf Christiansson, Tord Hansson, Jonas Schlyter, our brilliant writer Daniel Réhn, and Martin Stokke Mathiesen. 📸 Sofia is leaving for good, Lindy is leaving but will return in the spring, Carro, Jonas, and Tord will be back for the tour, and Martin will stay with us until spring before heading off—only to return later. Theatre life is a revolving door, but that’s part of its magic.  

The night was full of laughter, reminiscing, and promises to reunite. I may not always remember to take photos, but I’ll cherish this one. Here's to more memories, more seasons, and remembering to capture them! 🥂🎭📷
