Ever stayed in a hotel room so high up you could wave to Copenhagen? 👋🇩🇰 In this video I’m on tour with the show, living my best life at @bestwesternmalmoarenahotel 🌆—right above @malmoarena! My 12th floor room has views of Malmö, Turning Torso, Öresundsbron and even Denmark 😍 The best part? Breakfast! 🌱 The vegan options at the hotel restaurant PERCY’S are 🔥 and the staff? Absolute gems 💎

It’s our last morning in Hyllie and I’m packing up (or trying to) when there’s a knock at the door—Karin, a sweet superfan staying at the hotel! She pops in for a chat 🥰 which means I barely get anything packed 😂 Turns out I’ve hoarded more stuff than I thought 🎭✌️We head off to Hyllie station 🚆 for our train to Gothenburg. Crowded train chaos but I finally find a seat 🙌

Once in Gothenburg, it’s a quick taxi with David & Johanna 🚖 to our next home: GOTHIA TOWERS 🌟 I’m on the 19th floor (yes, again with the views 😍) while the others are in tower 1. Touring isn’t always this glam, but when it is… ya gotta enjoy it! 😉

What does it smell like when a vegan dresser invades the theatre with a brand-new LUSH perfume? Watch to find out! 💥💄

This week we’re on tour at the iconic Malmö Arena with our amazing show, and I’m staying at the super cozy and luxurious Malmö Arena Hotel – which just happens to sit right on top of the venue. From my room on the 12th floor, I can see Malmö’s Turning Torso, the Öresund Bridge, and all the way across to Copenhagen! 🌆🌉🇩🇰

As a content creator, I love sharing the behind-the-scenes magic of theatre life, especially when it’s filled with glam moments, vegan food reviews, and a bit of scented chaos 😅🌿 This video is the second one I’m posting today – and it’s all about what happens before the house opens!

In this episode:

🎭 I hang out at the theatre with David, our brilliant makeup artist, before the cast and crew arrive.

🧴 I show off my new perfume from LUSH called Vegan Leather Jacket – which smells like suede jackets, smoke, and secret gigs in underground bars (but better).

Ever dreamed of living on top of an arena and taking a train across countries before lunch? This is your backstage pass to Malmö, Copenhagen — and everything in between! 🌍🎭🌧️

In this fun and personal vlog, I take you along on a full tour day: waking up in my 12th-floor room at the beautiful @bestwesternmalmoarenahotel, enjoying a gorgeous vegan breakfast at PERCY’S 🍞🍓, heading to the arena for some classic backstage laundry duty 🧺, then hopping a train from Hyllie to explore rainy, stylish Copenhagen 🇩🇰

But the true star of this vlog is Strøget — one of the longest pedestrian streets in Europe 🛍️. It’s a mix of designer shops, cozy cafés, street performers, and deep Danish charm. Did you know:

– Strøget was made pedestrian-only in 1962 to combat car traffic

– Hans Christian Andersen used to stroll these cobblestones 🧚‍♂️

Join me on tour as I stay above the stage — literally! I’m living at the MALMÖ ARENA HOTEL, perched on top of MALMÖ ARENA itself, and the views from my room on the 12th floor are next-level. You can see the entire city of Malmö, the futuristic Turning Torso skyscraper, the Öresund Bridge, and even across the water to Copenhagen. Yes, it’s that epic!

As a vegan content creator on tour with a major musical theatre production, I’m always seeking out the best places to stay, eat, and explore — and this stop in Malmö absolutely delivers. Not only is the hotel perfect (delicious vegan breakfast included!), but the team from KRALL ENTERTAINMENT — shoutout to Tobias, Andrea, and Sofia — is taking such great care of us 💛

With no show today, I took the opportunity to dive into one of Malmö’s most charming quarters: Gamla Väster — a peaceful, picturesque area of the city filled with 18th-century houses, cozy boutiques, cobbled streets, and a truly artsy vibe. From there I made my way to Hummusson, a must-visit spot near Triangeln, Malmö’s bustling shopping and transport hub. This local gem serves some of the best hummus I’ve ever had — creamy, fresh, and full of flavor. So of course I bought TEN cartons to take back with me. Zero regrets 😅

After lunch, I caught a bus to Hyllie, an area south of Malmö known for Emporia, one of Scandinavia’s largest and most beautifully designed shopping malls. Think futuristic architecture, vibrant vibes, and plenty of plant-based options. I grabbed a vegan Asian takeaway 🍛 and returned to my hotel suite to unwind with a cow-print face mask (yes, really 🐄) and a view that never gets old.

Tour life can be intense, but days like this make it pure joy — good food, kind people, epic views, and lots of hummus. Woke up to breathtaking views from my 12th-floor room at MALMÖ ARENA HOTEL, overlooking Malmö, Turning Torso, Copenhagen, and Öresundsbron. Started the day with a hearty vegan breakfast at PERCY’S, fueling up for the day ahead.

The Laundry Mishap

Realized I forgot to bring in the male ensemble’s laundry. Navigated the pitch-black auditorium using my iPhone flashlight to retrieve the clothes. A true backstage adventure!

Transit Troubles

Headed to Hyllie bus station intending to explore Malmö city. Accidentally boarded a bus going in the wrong direction, leading to an unintended detour. Eventually made it to Triangeln after a 30-minute reroute.

Lunch at Hummusson

Discovered HUMMUSSON, a 100% vegan eatery known for its homemade hummus, baba ganoush, and falafel. The cozy, sustainable setting made it a perfect spot to unwind and refuel.

As a vegan, breakfast at PERCY’S is a daily highlight. Today, due to the crowd, I opted for a cozy in-room dining experience. With the rest of the cast heading home, I decided to extend my stay in Malmö, eager to explore more of this vibrant city.

During a stage walkthrough, I discovered an old prop telephone bearing a mysterious number. Channeling my inner detective, I embarked on a quest to uncover its origins and the stories it might hold.

Seeking local insights, I turned to the crew for recommendations. The consensus? A day trip to Copenhagen is a must! With its rich culture and proximity, it’s the perfect getaway.

Backstage, I introduced a fun challenge: saying “vocal warmup” five times fast. It’s harder than it sounds! Additionally, I showcased a unique prop—a fake “ugnsbakad falukorv,” a classic Swedish oven-baked sausage, typically enjoyed with potatoes and mustard.

In a lighthearted moment, Johanna and I coined the term “Sip and scrub,” capturing the essence of enjoying a glass of wine while tidying up—a perfect blend of relaxation and productivity.

We’re currently staying at the gorgeous Malmö Arena Hotel — literally on top of the arena 😱 I’m on the 12th floor with views over Malmö city, Turning Torso, the Öresund Bridge, and even Copenhagen on the horizon. The vegan breakfast at the hotel restaurant Percy’s is 💯 (hello oat milk, smoothie bowls, avocado toast and amazing staff!).

It’s a two-show Saturday, which means EARLY matinee madness 😅 It takes longer to fill and empty an arena than our usual theatre back home, so call time is brutal… but the vibes are amazing.

KRALL ENTERTAINMENT knows how to treat a cast well 🙌 Huge shoutout to Tobias, Andrea, and Sofia for creating such a caring tour atmosphere.

Currently, I’m on tour with our fabulous show and living right above the MALMÖ ARENA at the gorgeous MALMÖ ARENA HOTEL. My twelfth-floor room overlooks the city, the TURNING TORSO, the ÖRESUNDSBRIDGE, and even the skyline of COPENHAGEN. 🌆

This video captures a full day-in-the-life: the morning after opening night, starting with a luxurious vegan breakfast buffet at the hotel’s restaurant PERCY’S. I show you my favorite hack—pop a Dilmah Lemon & Lime teabag into a glass of sparkling water, and boom: a fizzy, fresh drink without added sugar. 🍋✨

As a vlogger, I’m always editing on the go 🎬—so I demonstrate how I manage social video captions on my iPad while editing on my iPhone, right from my hotel bed. Later, I get inspired and write a little intro jingle about life on the road 🎵

Needing some fresh air, I walk to EMPORIA shopping center, Malmö’s retail paradise. They’ve got a rooftop garden (yes, a garden on a mall!), so obviously I check it out 🌿☀️ Then comes the surprise: YOGIBOOST offers vegan frozen yoghurt 🍦 and I treat myself to piña colada + mango passionfruit flavors. 😋

Ever wondered what tour life really looks like for a musical theatre cast and crew? Welcome to my chaotic, glamorous, and hilariously relatable day at Malmö Arena 🎭✨

We’re staying right on top of the venue at the lovely Malmö Arena Hotel, and my twelfth-floor room gives me jaw-dropping views of Malmö, Turning Torso, Öresundsbron — and even Copenhagen. 🌇🌉🇩🇰

My day starts with an amazing vegan breakfast at Percy’s, the in-house hotel restaurant that’s a dream for anyone who’s plant-based 🌱☕️ It’s the first full day of the tour, and I’m feeling that post-runthrough exhaustion. But tour life doesn’t pause — it caffeinates and continues 😅

Lunch at Percy’s hits the spot with oumph, rice, and potatoes 🍛 Then it’s time for a shopping run to Emporia with my friend David — who, due to bad knees, bikes there… but forgets to stop and has to turn around 😂 Classic David!

On my end, I’m apparently turning heads in my Matthew Williamson x H&M sunglasses 😎 At Myrorna, I pick up second-hand white Nike sneakers 👟, a stainless steel face roller 💆‍♂️, and some under-eye masks for the ultimate self-care trio: me, David, and Johanna.

Dinner is vegan and gluten-free lasagna at Percy’s 🙌 Delicious. But the comedy doesn’t end: back at the hotel, I try to blip my keycard on the elevator button instead of pressing it. Exhaustion level = max 🤦‍♂️

Finally, I make my way to Malmö Arena for our big dress rehearsal. The magic of the show is real, but so are the in-between moments — the meals, the mishaps, the people 🫶

Morning Routine:

The day starts with editing yesterday’s Instagram stories, ensuring fresh content across all platforms. I then upload the latest video, craft its description, and even revisit the oldest photo on my iPhone—uploading and then deleting it for a digital cleanse.

Breakfast at Percy’s:

Located within the Malmö Arena Hotel, Percy’s offers a delightful vegan breakfast. Sharing the meal with Hjalmar, Moa, Johanna, and Git adds warmth to the morning.

City Exploration:

Git, Johanna, and I take a swift four-minute train ride to Malmö City, heading to the Triangeln shopping mall. Before leaving, the hotel concierge, having seen my Instagram stories, offers a clothes rack for my room—a thoughtful gesture.

AB Småland Café:

In the heart of Malmö, we discover AB Småland café, a haven for sustainable shopping and delightful treats. Johanna and I indulge in some second-hand shopping, embracing eco-friendly fashion choices.

Back at the Hotel:

Returning to the hotel, we meet up with David and his husband P.M. True to their word, the hotel staff have placed a clothes rack in my room—organization achieved!

Arena Preparations:

As we head to the arena, actors Per Svensson and Gustav Levin find themselves navigating the backstage corridors. On stage, rehearsals focus on refining exits and entrances, ensuring a seamless performance.

Dinner and Final Run-Through:

Dinner at Percy’s features delectable vegan meatballs, potatoes, and lingonberries—a comforting meal before the final run-through. Everyone dons their costumes, though wigs and makeup are saved for the main event. The day concludes with notes in the greenroom, wrapping up a day filled with creativity and camaraderie.

Going on Tour with the Theatre Crew: From Stockholm to Malmö | Hotel Upgrade + G&Ts!

The tour has officially begun and this video is packed with hilarious moments, behind-the-scenes crew energy, and a surprise hotel upgrade you’ll want to see!

Join me as I travel with the cast and crew of our musical from Stockholm to Malmö for the first leg of our post-Stockholm theatre tour! I’m Joakim, a dresser and costume supervisor living in Midsommarkransen, and in this video, you’ll get a proper taste of what it’s like going on tour with a show after two successful years in the capital. 🎭🧳

The adventure begins at Stockholm Central Station where I hop on the train with the best gang in showbiz:

We glide through the Swedish countryside until we arrive in Malmö. Then it’s a swift change in Hyllie and a glamorous stroll past Emporia Mall to our lodgings—the Malmö Arena Hotel.

✨ AND THEN—THE TWIST! ✨

I’ve been given a room on the 12th floor. Yes, twelfth. TWELFTH! While David fumes with envy (and not just from the train wine), I dash up to the Skybar for a cheeky beer with him and Johanna (who had the audacity to arrive earlier). 🍻🌆 When the bar closes, we shift to David’s room for gin & tonics (conveniently close to an ice machine—how very him). 🍸💫

Back in my room, I unpack my “not basic but iconic” tour wardrobe and gaze over Malmö’s night lights like a brooding novelist from the ‘20s. 🧥📓🕺
