🎭 Life on tour is always an adventure… but nothing beats waking up 19 floors above Gothenburg with a front-row view of 🎡 @lisebergab! This week we’re performing at @svandinaviumsrena, living our best lives at the gorgeous @gothiatowers 💫 I mean, can it get better? Actually—YES! With 🔥 lunch and dinner from @melkerssonsmat and amazing care from @krall_entertainment and the fabulous @tobiaseliasson @andreakrall @sophiastolpe, we are spoiled .

My room is right next to the glass elevators—the best Liseberg view as you ride! 🎢 For fun, I named them: the left one is Queen SILVIA 👑 and the right one? ELLA VATOR, of course 😏.

Tiny drama: my heels betrayed me, so I’m living my tour life in… slippers 🩴😬 Stylish? No. Practical? Absolutely.

This is my third time performing at Skandinavium—first MAMMA MIA! 💃, then SÅ SOM I HIMMELEN 🎶, and now we’re back! The stage is up, the crew is buzzing ⚡️, and we’re ready to go. Meanwhile, poor Johanna on the 14th floor can’t even use the elevator—turns out it’s express-only! 🤯

We’ve just landed in Gothenburg 🛬 and checked in to @gothiatowers (hello 19th floor view! 😍). From my room, I see @lisebergab and honestly, can it get any better? Yes, actually: an epic vegan breakfast 🌱, the kindest staff 🙌, and incredible meals thanks to @krall_entertainment and their dream team: @tobiaseliasson, @andreakrall & @sophiastolpe 💕

We wander down Avenyn 🏙️—Gothenburg’s version of the Champs-Élysées—with a detour to the majestic Poseidon fountain ⛲ where I reveal a cheeky little secret (👀🤫). After grabbing a juicy vegan hotdog 🌭 at Heden, I get blisters from my brand new shoes 👞😩. Then it’s G&Ts 🍸 at David’s room in tower 1, followed by wine 🍷 in mine. Content, carbs, and comedy = a perfect (but exhausting!) tour day.

What does it smell like when a vegan dresser invades the theatre with a brand-new LUSH perfume? Watch to find out! 💥💄

This week we’re on tour at the iconic Malmö Arena with our amazing show, and I’m staying at the super cozy and luxurious Malmö Arena Hotel – which just happens to sit right on top of the venue. From my room on the 12th floor, I can see Malmö’s Turning Torso, the Öresund Bridge, and all the way across to Copenhagen! 🌆🌉🇩🇰

As a content creator, I love sharing the behind-the-scenes magic of theatre life, especially when it’s filled with glam moments, vegan food reviews, and a bit of scented chaos 😅🌿 This video is the second one I’m posting today – and it’s all about what happens before the house opens!

In this episode:

🎭 I hang out at the theatre with David, our brilliant makeup artist, before the cast and crew arrive.

🧴 I show off my new perfume from LUSH called Vegan Leather Jacket – which smells like suede jackets, smoke, and secret gigs in underground bars (but better).

🐝 My assistant Johanna jumps in to tell everyone about Scrubee, LUSH’s bee-shaped scrub bar filled with moisturizing oils and natural exfoliants. It’s adorable, scrubby, and seriously effective.

🎬 Then the chaos starts as the rest of the cast arrives – and the energy ramps up into full show mode.

Ever wondered what a day in the life of a touring actor looks like? Join me as I navigate the delightful chaos of performances, shopping escapades, and unexpected surprises in Malmö!

Our day kicks off with a hearty vegan breakfast at Percy’s Restaurant, located within the Malmö Arena Hotel. The panoramic views and plant-based delights set the tone for what’s to come.

Post our first show, my assistant Johanna and I head to the nearby shopping mall. Johanna finds the perfect baby blue sneakers, and we stumble upon a humorous gift—a butt mask—for our bold castmate, Petter.

Backstage, we experiment with blue Takis snacks, leading to some colorful tongues and hearty laughs. As the second show begins, Petter’s reaction to his gift is priceless.

After the curtain falls, I handle costume laundry and savor a quick toast. I also unveil my latest purchase: a sparkly plastic mug from Normal, adding a touch of glam to my collection.

The day concludes with an attempt to bid farewell to our director’s assistant, Git, at the skybar. Though we miss each other, the memories of the day remain unforgettable.

Going on Tour with the Theatre Crew: From Stockholm to Malmö | Hotel Upgrade + G&Ts!

The tour has officially begun and this video is packed with hilarious moments, behind-the-scenes crew energy, and a surprise hotel upgrade you’ll want to see!

Join me as I travel with the cast and crew of our musical from Stockholm to Malmö for the first leg of our post-Stockholm theatre tour! I’m Joakim, a dresser and costume supervisor living in Midsommarkransen, and in this video, you’ll get a proper taste of what it’s like going on tour with a show after two successful years in the capital. 🎭🧳

The adventure begins at Stockholm Central Station where I hop on the train with the best gang in showbiz:

We glide through the Swedish countryside until we arrive in Malmö. Then it’s a swift change in Hyllie and a glamorous stroll past Emporia Mall to our lodgings—the Malmö Arena Hotel.

✨ AND THEN—THE TWIST! ✨

I’ve been given a room on the 12th floor. Yes, twelfth. TWELFTH! While David fumes with envy (and not just from the train wine), I dash up to the Skybar for a cheeky beer with him and Johanna (who had the audacity to arrive earlier). 🍻🌆 When the bar closes, we shift to David’s room for gin & tonics (conveniently close to an ice machine—how very him). 🍸💫

Back in my room, I unpack my “not basic but iconic” tour wardrobe and gaze over Malmö’s night lights like a brooding novelist from the ‘20s. 🧥📓🕺

HOW I GOT MY PERFUME BACK…

Editing, biking 🚴‍♂️, theatre life 🎭, and a missing perfume bottle? Welcome to another day in my chaotic yet entertaining world! I kick things off by editing yesterday’s Instagram stories for all my social media outlets 📱✨. Then, I hop on my bike and head to the theatre to continue packing up the show and getting everything ready.  

Somewhere along the way, I misplace my perfume from THE ESSENCE VAULT, No. 53 🫢. Panic? Not really. When I get to work, I find it sitting peacefully on the desk—crisis averted!  

During my break, I randomly stumble upon a post about Teater Halland’s stage adaptation of *Picnic at Hanging Rock* 🌿🕰️. Then, I spot on Jennie Backman’s Instagram that they’re touring with Riksteatern and stopping at Årsta Teatern. I impulsively buy a ticket for the next day 🎟️—love a good theatre moment!  

Backstage antics continue with David cracking endless *How many... does it take to screw in a lightbulb?* jokes 💡😂, followed by an unexpected Dionne Warwick medley 🎶🎤. Then, he casually reveals something I never noticed while working on *Tootsie*—prosthetic fingertips with dramatic red nails 💅! Turns out, they were supposed to help Robert Gustafsson’s quick drag transformation but kept falling off mid-performance. Theatre magic at its finest!  

Just another day balancing creativity, chaos, and unexpected laughs. Wouldn’t have it any other way!

HOW I GOT A LOT TO DO WITH COSTUMES…

Editing yesterday’s stories ☕🎬 before hopping on my 🚲 and heading to the theatre. The show is over, but the tour is coming up, so Johanna and I are deep in costume chaos! 🎭👗 Washing, mending, ironing, and organizing every single piece.  

Deep under the stage in the basement, we dig up costumes from last summer’s Kalmar run. Nostalgia hits as we see names inside the shirts: Jan Malmsjö, Loa Falkman, Kalle Dyall—memories stitched into fabric. 🧥✨  

Meanwhile, David invites Johanna and me for post-work drinks 🍸🏙️, so Johanna runs out to get a little gift. 🎁 Tim Mårtensson swings by to grab a costume originally worn by Tord Hansson, then altered for Isak Bendelin, and now—back to Tord! 🪡👔  

It’s a cycle of theatre magic, where costumes tell stories and travel just as much as the actors. 🎶🎤 And after all that, it’s time for my daily ritual: posting the oldest photo on my iPhone 📱 before deleting it forever! A fresh, nostalgic way to keep my feed alive.

HOW I GOT ALL THE COSTUMES MOVED AGAIN…

A day off? Not quite! 🎭☀️ The sun is shining, I'm wearing Caron Pour Un Homme 🌿✨, and it’s time to pack up all the costumes for an upcoming tour! 🚴‍♂️ Off I go on my bike to the theatre, where Johanna and I have a full day ahead of us. First, we haul every costume out of the dressing rooms and down to the basement (because, of course, every other room is taken! 🎭😅).  

While Johanna treks up to the attic, I tackle the laundry 🧺 and give you a little backstage tour! 🎬👀 Ever wondered what a theatre basement looks like? Spoiler: It's a labyrinth of forgotten props, costumes, and history. 🏛️✨
