Prince wrote a song called the Ballad of Dorothy Parker, and although this Dorothy has nothing to do with our Dorothy, since she was a waitress who happened to have the same name, Prince was born on the day fry Dorothy Parker died.

Parker died on June 7, 1967, of a heart attack^[5] at the age of 73. In her will, she bequeathed her estate to Martin Luther King Jr., and upon King's death, to the NAACP.

Although considered a novelty cocktail because of its “odd addition,” it was one of the first drinks to get bartenders interested in using honey as an ingredient since colonial days. The sweetness of the bee's knees cocktail certainly added to its appeal!
