I Made a Vegan Upside-Down Sandwich Cake for My Birthday (and Then Drank...

Ever uploaded a sandwich cake *and* a nostalgic photo in the same day? 😂 In this cozy, chaotic, and very Swedish video, I do exactly that — and celebrate my birthday with my friend Martin along the way! 🎉🇸🇪

Join me behind the scenes of a typical morning as a full-time content creator living in Midsommarkransen, Stockholm. I start by editing yesterday’s Instagram Stories into today’s video content, prepping it for all platforms, and continuing my daily nostalgic ritual: uploading (and deleting!) the oldest photo on my iPhone. 📸✨

Then — birthday vibes take over! 🎂💫

I decide to surprise Martin with a homemade vegan smörgåstårta (sandwich cake). I brave the freezing May weather (seriously, where are my gloves?! 🥶) and bike to the store to buy everything I need:

* Pre-cut white bread

* Vegan potato salad

* Vegan seafood salad

* Fresh celery (for a wok recipe I’m obsessed with trying)

Back home, I build the cake upside-down in a container — a quirky and satisfying process that turns out beautifully when flipped. 🎂💁‍♂️

Martin arrives with an adorable birthday tray: vegan candy, vegan chocolate, and even a box of sangria! 🥳🍬 We kick off dinner with champagne served in *gin glasses* (yes, really — for “aroma reasons”), then I flip the cake and... IT’S A HIT! 🥂🎉

In Sweden, we say if your sandwich cake slice stands upright, you’ll get married. Ours immediately collapsed. So... cheers to being fabulous and single! 😂💔

We end the night with:

* A glass of rare green Chartreuse

* Too much wine 🍷

* And me giving Martin a pile of discarded winter jackets and belts, which he heroically hauls home on his bike 🚴‍♂️💼
