I CUT DOWN MY AVOCADO TREES FOR THIS "USEFUL" PLANT... THEN A MONDAY NIG...

Is it dramatic to say I've declared war on my own house plants? And how did a simple Monday dinner turn into a six-hour Riesling and true-crime marathon? You won't want to miss this chaotic, cozy Stockholm vlog! 🇸🇪🏠

Hello, everyone, and welcome back! Monday, the day of resolutions and reinvention, began with a moment of brutal honesty: my indoor avocado trees had become a bit... much. They are lovely, of course, but one must embrace utility! My new indoor garden philosophy is simple: functional plants only! I walk you through the painful process of trimming back the avocado jungle and introducing some gorgeously architectural and utterly useful snake plants (they clean the air, you know!). If you’re a house plant parent struggling with clutter, this segment offers some truly cathartic decluttering motivation. 🌱✂️

Next up: a culinary crisis averted! I’ve been terribly triste about falling out of the habit of creating new recipes, but my new plan is to use what I have. I call it the "Pantry Inventory Challenge." Today’s victory involved finding a lonely packet of red rice. I quickly whipped that up into a delightful, improvised vegan lunch: perfectly cooked red rice, topped with pan-fried vegetables, and a truly indulgent tofu and peanut butter sauce—with slices of banana! Don't judge the combination until you try it! It’s an easy, protein-packed, and surprisingly delicious meal that proves you don't need exotic ingredients for great food. I offer some quick tips on how to make your own version of this quick tofu recipe. 🍌🥜

After a necessary interlude for some satisfying recycling (the glamour of city life!), it was time for the evening's main event: a visit to my friend Ulf's apartment for a little dumpling feast! 🥟

On the way, I made a crucial stop at Systembolaget, the Swedish liquor store. The evening’s choice? Riesling—four glorious bottles of the crisp, white nectar! Now, I must be perfectly clear, we did, in fact, finish all four. BUT, it was over the sophisticated span of six hours. It wasn't a sprint; it was a marathon of witty banter and excellent wine pairings with the dumplings. The evening was capped off with the delightful, dark comedy of binge-watching the first season of Only Murders in the Building. If you’re looking for a new show to get obsessed with, this is it! It’s the perfect blend of cozy atmosphere and intriguing mystery. 🍷🕵️‍♂️
