It's TRIPLE SECTEMBER




1. Classic Margarita

  • 2 parts tequila

  • 1 part Cointreau (or triple sec)

  • 1 part lime juice
    Method: Shake with ice, strain.
    Glass: Rocks glass, rimmed with salt.
    Garnish: Lime wheel.


2. Cosmopolitan

  • 1.5 parts vodka

  • 1 part Cointreau

  • 0.5 part lime juice

  • 0.5 part cranberry juice
    Method: Shake with ice, strain.
    Glass: Martini glass.
    Garnish: Lime wedge or orange twist.


3. Sidecar

  • 2 parts cognac

  • 1 part Cointreau

  • 1 part lemon juice
    Method: Shake with ice, strain.
    Glass: Coupe glass, sugar rim optional.
    Garnish: Orange twist.


4. White Lady

  • 2 parts gin

  • 1 part Cointreau

  • 1 part lemon juice
    Method: Shake with ice, strain.
    Glass: Coupe glass.
    Garnish: Lemon twist.


5. Mai Tai

  • 2 parts light rum

  • 0.75 part Cointreau

  • 0.75 part lime juice

  • 0.5 part orgeat

  • 0.25 part dark rum (float)
    Method: Shake first 4 ingredients with ice, strain over fresh ice. Float dark rum.
    Glass: Rocks glass.
    Garnish: Mint sprig + lime wheel.


6. Corpse Reviver #2

  • 1 part gin

  • 1 part Cointreau

  • 1 part Lillet Blanc

  • 1 part lemon juice
    Method: Shake with ice, strain.
    Glass: Coupe glass, rinse with absinthe if desired.
    Garnish: Orange twist.


7. Long Island Iced Tea

  • 0.5 part vodka

  • 0.5 part gin

  • 0.5 part rum

  • 0.5 part tequila

  • 0.5 part Cointreau

  • 1 part lemon juice

  • 1 part simple syrup

  • Cola top
    Method: Shake first 7 ingredients, strain over ice, top with cola.
    Glass: Highball.
    Garnish: Lemon wedge.


8. Singapore Sling (simplified)

  • 1.5 parts gin

  • 0.5 part Cointreau

  • 0.5 part cherry brandy

  • 0.5 part Benedictine

  • 1 part lime juice

  • 1 part pineapple juice

  • Dash grenadine
    Method: Shake with ice, strain.
    Glass: Highball.
    Garnish: Pineapple slice + cherry.


9. Between the Sheets

  • 1 part cognac

  • 1 part light rum

  • 1 part Cointreau

  • 0.75 part lemon juice
    Method: Shake with ice, strain.
    Glass: Coupe.
    Garnish: Lemon twist.


10. Pegu Club

  • 2 parts gin

  • 1 part Cointreau

  • 0.75 part lime juice

  • Dash Angostura bitters

  • Dash orange bitters
    Method: Shake with ice, strain.
    Glass: Coupe.
    Garnish: Lime wheel.


11. Kamikaze

  • 1.5 parts vodka

  • 1 part Cointreau

  • 0.75 part lime juice
    Method: Shake with ice, strain.
    Glass: Cocktail or shot glass.
    Garnish: Lime wedge.


12. Tequila Sunrise (with a twist)

  • 2 parts tequila

  • 1 part Cointreau

  • 3 parts orange juice

  • Dash grenadine
    Method: Build in glass with ice, add grenadine last to sink.
    Glass: Highball.
    Garnish: Orange slice + cherry.


13. Metropolitan

  • 2 parts brandy

  • 1 part Cointreau

  • 1 part sweet vermouth

  • Dash Angostura bitters
    Method: Stir with ice, strain.
    Glass: Coupe or martini.
    Garnish: Orange twist.


14. B52 (Layered Shooter)

  • 1 part Kahlúa

  • 1 part Baileys Irish Cream

  • 1 part Cointreau
    Method: Carefully layer each ingredient with a bar spoon.
    Glass: Shot glass.
    Garnish: None.


15. Grand Margarita (a.k.a. Cadillac)

  • 2 parts reposado tequila

  • 1 part Cointreau

  • 1 part lime juice

  • 0.5 part agave syrup

  • Float of Grand Marnier (optional)
    Method: Shake first 4 with ice, strain over fresh ice. Float Grand Marnier.
    Glass: Rocks glass, salted rim optional.
    Garnish: Lime wheel.
