Could a chapel, a coach, and an orangery be the most romantic birthday surprise ever? 🎁
Today, Magnus and I dared to ditch gifts and curated a day dripping in history, art, and Scandinavian elegance.

It begins at the serene Ul riksdal Palace chapel—commissioned in 1865, with a soaring wooden truss ceiling inspired by Gothic and stave church architecture, interior pine and oak details so intimate you feel like royalty. It’s sacred, small-scale, beautiful.

Then we visit Queen Christina’s coronation coach, a 1650 gilded carriage festooned with mythological motifs and floral reliefs—a mobile proclamation of power. Christina ascended at six, crowned at eighteen—the carriage isn’t just transportation; it’s sovereignty in gilded wood.

Our journey continues at the luminous Orangery Museum, originally built to shelter exotic plants for Queen Hedvig Eleonora. Now it houses sculptures spanning centuries—Carl Milles, Sergel, Eldh—under arching windows and classical light, whispering of horticulture and haute culture.

We finish at Ulriksdals trädgårdar, where fresh air meets floral color. I treated Magnus to lunch and met Cicki in the café—a sweet coda to the day: friendship, feasting, and a picnic among roses.

**What if... a day of surprises unfolded on Skeppsholmen?** 🎉📸

On July 25, 2024, I surprised my friend Magnus Borén with a full day of celebrations in Stockholm. The first photo captures him outside **Leksaksmuseet**, The Toy Museum, a hidden gem filled with nostalgic treasures 🏠🚂. The second shows him standing outside **Torpedverkstan**, a cozy waterfront restaurant 🍽️🌊.  

Our day started in the park behind **Nationalmuseum**, where we had bubbly and sandwiches for breakfast 🥂🥪, setting the tone for a day of adventure. Then, we wandered through the toy museum, reminiscing about childhood memories, before heading to the restaurant for a delicious meal. And the surprises weren’t over yet... 🤫🎁  

 Magnus, just back from South America, was embracing a new look: a green short-sleeved shirt, dark blue shorts, and matching sneakers 👕🩳👟. He carried a beige crossbody bag with a green strap and wore two bohemian bracelets and an orange pendant, inspired by his travels 🌍📿.  

These photos capture the **anticipation of the unknown**, the joy of **spontaneity**, and the warmth of **friendship**. Life is about celebrating the moments—big and small! 🎊

**What if... You Could Bathe in Riches?** 💰🛁✨

These are the oldest photos on my phone, taken on **July 25, 2024**, at **Leksaksmuseet**, the toy museum on **Skeppsholmen** in Stockholm. This moment features my friend **Magnus Boren**, fully dressed, sitting in a bathtub—not just any bathtub, but one overflowing with **fake money**! 😂💸  

This was all part of a **surprise birthday celebration** 🎉🎁. I had booked Magnus for the entire day, and he had **no idea** what was going to happen. Our adventure started at **Leksaksmuseet**, a magical place filled with nostalgic treasures from childhood. The museum showcases an **incredible collection** of toys, including **vintage dolls, action figures, model trains**, and even **Star Wars collectibles**! 🚂🪆🎭  

As we were about to leave, we spotted this **hilarious exhibit**: a bathtub filled with **gold coins and cash** 🛁💰—an homage to **Scrooge McDuck** (Joakim von Anka), the iconic cartoon billionaire who **literally bathes in money**! Magnus couldn’t resist the opportunity, so naturally, he **got in**—fully dressed! 🤣  

The moment was **pure fun, laughter, and absurdity**—exactly what birthdays should be! 🥳🎈 I love how this photo captures the **joy of spontaneity** and the **magic of unexpected adventures*

What if a Birthday Came with a Castle?🏰🎉

On June 29, I had no idea what Magnus Borén had planned for my birthday. He just told me to meet him in Gamla Stan, Stockholm. No clues, no hints. Suddenly, we were on a boat, gliding across Lake Mälaren. 🚢 The destination? A mystery. The lunch? A delicious vegan sandwich. 🥪🌱  

 Then we arrived—Skokloster Castle! This breathtaking 17th-century Baroque masterpiece is filled with history, art, and an unfinished banqueting hall frozen in time. ⏳ The castle’s grand halls, ancient books, and weapon collections made it feel like stepping into another era.  

But that wasn’t all! There was a stunning exhibition by Louise Xin, where fashion met activism. 👗✊ Her designs, displayed in these historic surroundings, carried powerful messages about human rights, sustainability, and ethical fashion. Seeing haute couture being used for a cause made the experience even more unforgettable.  

After exploring every corner of the castle, Magnus had one more surprise. While waiting for the bus back, he pulled out a bottle of Amaluna sparkling wine. 🍾🥂 We toasted to an incredible day before heading home. And when I got back? I ended the night with a cozy bowl of vegan elbow pasta and sausage. 🍝✨
