Instead of our costume designer, who is immersed in CHICAGO in Malmö, I attend the production meeting at Kulturhuset Stadsteater. It’s a curious seat to occupy—holding the responsibility of fabrics, fittings, and a vision that must survive the scrutiny of an entire creative team.

From there, I step into the world of retail. The mission? Tights for female actors. The reaction? Priceless. Salespeople glance, puzzled, as if to say, “Why would a man buy tights not in his size?” And that, darlings, is the essence of glamour. To stir curiosity. To ignite a little theatre in everyday life.

When work fades, Martin appears—armed with vegan burgers, fries, cola. A feast for the hungry, and a delight for the heart. Together, we cross the street to HARALDS, the iconic gay bar on Vasagatan. Two glasses of wine later, the night glows warmer, our laughter louder, and our anticipation higher.

Then the transformation. On our way to the show, Martin—full of joy and absurdity—becomes an Avicii dancer. Legs kick, arms fly, the city blurs into rhythm. For a moment, Stockholm belongs to us.

But when we finally sit at Kulturhuset Stadsteater for the dress rehearsal of Lonely Together… disappointment strikes. The production falls flat. Lifeless, uninspired. And truth, always necessary, must be spoken. Not everything dazzles, not everything enchants.

My Final Show Day at Malmö Arena 🎭 Vegan Hotel Breakfast, Backstage Chao...

Waking up on the 12th floor above Malmö with panoramic views of Turning Torso, Öresundsbron, and even Copenhagen? This is what touring dreams are made of 🌇

In today’s video, I take you through one of the most memorable and bittersweet days on tour with our show at Malmö Arena. We’re staying right on top of the venue at the lovely Best Western Malmö Arena Hotel—so yes, it’s the shortest commute ever 🛗 But more than that, this hotel has become our home away from home.

🌱 The morning starts at PERCY’S, the in-house restaurant, with a fantastic vegan hotel breakfast that genuinely impressed me. Plant-based options? Check. Friendly staff? Check. Fresh coffee and dreamy bread? Double check. Honestly, I felt so seen 😌

🎭 From there, it’s straight to the theatre for our final Saturday—a two-show day packed with energy, emotion, and a little chaos. We’ve done so many shows, but only a few of us have been at EVERY performance: myself (representing Team Costumes), Lukas the stagehand, makeup artist David, and cast members Per and Emilia. That said—SPOILER ALERT—today is the day Per is out and his brilliant understudy Tord finally steps in. And guess what? He CRUSHES it!

👕 Meanwhile, the crew and I start packing. It’s our last night at the hotel and everything must go after the final curtain. Cue boxes, rolling racks, tangled cords, a backup sewing machine (yes, really), and a lot of socks.

Yeah, Stockholm is being moody — so I jump on my crosstrainer 🚴‍♂️ and watch *Ladies of Letters* (iconic duo energy 🤣), shower off the sweat 🚿, and head out to recycle ♻️

After recycling, I pick up my second-favorite parcel:

While potatoes boil 🥔 I clear the kitchen table and put down sheets labeled “Europe,” “Middle East,” “Asia,” “South America.” Then I take EVERYTHING edible from my shelves and categorize it 😅 Yes, it was wildly satisfying. No, I’m not sorry. 😂

After that, it’s cleaning day 🧼🧽🧹 because tomorrow Magnus Borén is coming over for dinner and the apartment has to be spotless 👀💫 But before the mop hits the floor, I step out to shoot some pretty April establishing shots of my home and neighborhood 🏡🌸🌿  

Lunch? Oatmeal porridge waffles 🧇🔥 Yes, you read that right! Just let the porridge cool and throw it in a waffle maker. It’s plant-based magic on a plate 🌱🍽️  

Later I hop on my bike 🚲 to meet Cicki and Martin at Saigon Baguette, a fab Vietnamese place—except plot twist! They close at 16:00 on Mondays 😩 So instead, we head to foodie heaven: Hötorgshallen 😍🍴  

Hötorgshallen is an iconic indoor market in central Stockholm, filled with international eats, gourmet goods, and major falafel vibes 🧆🌍💛 After food, we catch a dress rehearsal at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern of *Det stora lördagspaketet*—theatre life never sleeps 🎭
