The oldest photo on my phone 📱✨—taken on March 8, 2024, at BASE23 Performing Arts School in Stockholm. It’s me and my colleague Johanna, caught in an infinite loop of photography 📸. She’s snapping a picture of my phone taking a picture of us—like a mirror reflecting a mirror, an endless tunnel of images.
We’re sitting in a classroom-turned-auditorium, watching what I *think* was a Sondheim recital 🎶. (Or was it a dress rehearsal? My memory is fuzzy, but the vibes were immaculate.) I’m wearing my white sweatshirt with the black Keith Haring print from H&M, one of my favorite comfy staples 🖤🤍. Johanna, ever stylish, is in all black, focused on her own lens.
There’s something poetic about this moment—two theatre people documenting a fleeting second, not knowing it would one day be the oldest relic in my digital archive ⏳. A snapshot of an ordinary day that became extraordinary simply because it survived.
Do you ever scroll back to your first-ever phone photo? What’s the oldest picture in your camera roll? Let me know in the comments! ⬇️
