What if... A Day at Plåtparken with Magnus

Captured on July 25, 2024, in Marievik, Stockholm, this photo features my friend Magnus Boren standing outside Plåtparken, a unique outdoor restaurant constructed from repurposed shipping containers. The venue offers a relaxed, industrial-chic atmosphere along the waterfront, providing picturesque views of the water and the nearby Hornstull area.

Magnus, with his distinctive grey hair and beard, is dressed casually in a green short-sleeved shirt, dark blue shorts, and matching sneakers with white soles. He accessorizes with a beige crossbody bag, an orange stone pendant necklace, and sunglasses dangling from his collar, complemented by hippie-like bracelets adorning his wrists. His relaxed demeanor reflects the laid-back vibe of Plåtparken.

The second photo showcases a culinary delight from our visit: vegan oyster mushroom-filled bao buns served in a round container, accompanied by a yellow soda can labeled "POM POM." These bao buns are a testament to Plåtparken's diverse street food offerings, which include dishes like burgers, bowls, and bao buns, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences.

The "POM POM" soda adds an intriguing element to the meal. While reminiscent of "Poms," an apple-flavored soda popular in Morocco, the exact flavor profile of "POM POM" remains a mystery, inviting curiosity and a sense of adventure in trying new beverages.

These photos encapsulate a day of exploration, friendship, and culinary discovery at Plåtparken. The combination of Magnus's vibrant presence, the unique setting of Plåtparken, and the delectable vegan cuisine made for an unforgettable experience.

If you're seeking a spot that blends innovative design, diverse food options, and a welcoming atmosphere, Plåtparken in Marievik is a destination worth exploring. Whether you're enjoying a meal with friends, attending a night market, or simply soaking in the waterfront views, Plåtparken offers a unique slice of Stockholm's vibrant summer scene.

**What if… a casual walk turned into a summer adventure?** 🌞🚶‍♂️

On June 15, 2024, Martin and I set out for a walk in **GLAM** (Gröndal, Liljeholmen, Aspudden, and Midsommarkransen). The first stop? **Plåtparken** in Marievik—a hidden gem by the water! 🌊✨ With food stalls, live music, boules, saunas, and even night markets, it's a summer dream. 🌮🎶♨️

We snapped a selfie outside the park, soaking in the lively vibe. Then, our walk took a delicious detour—**McDonald's at Liljeholmstorget**. 🍔🍟 Martin went for a classic burger, while I tried their vegan option. 🌱 And that’s when Martin introduced me to the McDonald’s app, which I immediately downloaded… and never used again. 😂📱

It’s funny how the smallest moments stick with you. A summer evening, good food, great company, and a new app gathering dust on my phone. 🤷‍♂️
