SWIM, SILKY TOFU & SPICY COCKTAILS: STOCKHOLM’S SECRET DAY OUT REVEALED!...

CAN A SWIM, SILKY TOFU, AND A SPICY COCKTAIL TURN AN ORDINARY DAY INTO SOMETHING FABULOUS? 🏊‍♂️🍽️🍸

Join me as I meet my friend Ulf down by the docks at Marievik in Liljeholmen, Stockholm, for a refreshing swim from the floating jetty, followed by an unforgettable culinary adventure. We dive into the local culture, the pure joy of friendship, and the simple luxury of delicious vegan food and cocktails.

Our day begins with the crisp water of Marievik Bay — a perfect urban escape for swimming enthusiasts. The floating jetty invites you to dip, splash, and refresh under the Swedish sky. After our invigorating swim, hunger leads us to a hidden culinary jewel: WONG KEE on Grönbrinksgatan 3, a cozy Chinese restaurant beloved for its authentic flavors.

I chose the Ga So Tofu, a Japanese-style silky tofu renowned for its custard-like, creamy texture and subtle flavor that melts on the palate. This vegan-friendly dish is rich in plant protein and light on calories, offering a nourishing and elegant dining experience for anyone craving gentle, wholesome meals.

Inspired by this delicate dish, I consulted ChatGPT for five fabulous cocktail recipes to elevate my evening. But sometimes simplicity wins — I crafted a Joan Collins Cocktail, a Tom Collins with an exciting chili kick, marrying classic refreshment with a spicy surprise. It’s a cocktail that dances on the tongue and warms the soul.

This video isn’t just about food or drinks — it’s about savoring moments with friends, exploring hidden spots in Stockholm, and embracing life’s flavorful surprises. Whether you’re a vegan foodie, a cocktail lover, or simply someone who enjoys city adventures, this video has something special for you.

Enjoy stunning shots of Marievik, the delicious tofu plate, and the fiery Joan Collins cocktail. Don’t forget to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and COMMENT your favorite vegan dish or cocktail below! Share your own tips for post-swim meals and drinks.

Vegan Vlogger Morning Routine + H&M Haul + Theatre Life in Stockholm 🇸🇪

Ever wondered what a full day in the life of a Swedish vegan vlogger looks like? From editing videos at home to cycling through Stockholm and mixing cocktails—this is it. 🎬🌱🚴‍♂️

Join me, Joakim Clifton Bergman, as I dive into a typical (but never boring) day in my life as a male content creator, costume supervisor, and vegan living in the leafy suburb of Midsommarkransen, Stockholm.

My day begins at my editing desk where I cut together yesterday’s Instagram Stories for all my social media channels. After uploading the new vlog and writing descriptions, I share the oldest photo on my iPhone (a daily tradition!) and then delete it—keeping my feed nostalgic AND minimal 🧠📲.

With that sorted, I step outside to film some quick establishing shots of my apartment building 🏢. Then it’s time for a sparkly morning shower using Intergalactic soap from Lush 🌌, before hopping on my bike to pick up a parcel from H&M 🛍️—a sale order, of course. It’s a pair of jeans that I get to unbox later with my friend Ulf 👖🎁.

But I don’t arrive empty-handed! I bring along homemade vegan red lentil pancakes 🥞, spicy peanut sauce 🥜, and a fresh tomato salad 🍅. We kick off the dinner vibes with a refreshing watermelon liqueur cocktail 🍉🍸 before settling into the couch to watch the latest episodes of HBO’s The Gilded Age 📺.

After Ulf falls asleep mid-drama 😴, I bike back home through Stockholm’s summer night and make myself a classic Negroni 🍊 before heading to bed.

This is more than just a daily vlog—it’s a mix of vegan cooking inspo, Stockholm lifestyle, minimalism, daily content creation tips, and theatre backstage flavor. Perfect for anyone interested in authentic day-in-the-life videos from creators working behind the scenes in musical theatre, especially those who love Sweden, sustainable living, and fun, candid routines!

💬 If you enjoy daily creative routines, vegan lifestyle content, and theatre life in Sweden, don’t forget to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and turn on notifications 🔔. I upload new videos every single day, including my nostalgic iPhone photo ritual!

A Day of Editing, Unboxing & Balcony Cocktails | Stockholm Vlog

Join me for a fun-packed *Tuesday adventure* full of surprises, style, and springtime vibes in Stockholm! 🌸✨ In today’s video, I’m starting the day like I always do: editing my Instagram story clips from yesterday 📲✂️, polishing them up for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts 🎥. Then it’s straight to my computer 💻 to upload the finished video, write the captions 📝, and—of course—keep my daily tradition alive by posting the oldest photo on my iPhone 📸 before deleting it 🗑️. This ritual keeps my feed feeling both fresh and nostalgic—love it!

But that’s just the beginning 👀... I find a surprise package waiting outside my door from SELLPY 📦: inside? Gorgeous brown boots from H\&M Studio 👢 and black shorts from the H\&M Innovation Circular Design Story collection (2021) 🖤.

Next, I bike 🚲 to visit Ulf and grab another online order on the way 🛍️. I sneak up and *scare the life out of him* 😈😱—so funny (don’t worry, we laughed a lot)! We settle on his sunny balcony ☀️ with DIY cocktails in glass jars 🍹: negroni, sidecar, and kamikaze. Ulf tries to guess every ingredient 🍋🍊, and he’s surprisingly good at it. Then we open my other package…an army-style jacket that’s way too tight 😬—for both of us, and eventually even Martin can’t squeeze in 🤣.

Ulf’s still limping from a dog-related fall 🐕‍🦺, but like a champ, he whips up delicious noodles with radishes 🍜. We chat about habits: Ulf’s “someday soon” plans to quit smoking 🚬 and my attempt to stop eating peanuts 🥜 (except when someone offers them…classic me 😂). We finish the day watching *Hacks* on Netflix 🎬💻—HIGHLY recommend if you haven’t seen it yet.

I’m based in Midsommarkransen, Stockholm 🇸🇪, working as a dresser & costume supervisor at a musical theatre 🎭. My daily uploads bring you backstage, into my life of vegan cooking 👨‍🍳, fashion inspo 👔, and plenty of fun unboxings and nostalgia 📦📸.

Maydori

Bright green and unmistakably vibrant, Midori is a melon-flavored liqueur that has carved out a special place in cocktail culture around the world. Originating in Japan, Midori (which means “green” in Japanese) was first introduced by the renowned beverage company Suntory in 1964 under the name Hermes Melon Liqueur. Its vivid color and unique flavor, inspired by the Japanese muskmelon (similar to cantaloupe and honeydew), quickly became a hit locally.

Midori truly burst onto the international scene in 1978 at the legendary Studio 54 in New York City, where it was relaunched with its now-iconic name during a party celebrating the premiere of the movie Saturday Night Fever. This splashy debut tied Midori to the glitz and glam of disco nightlife, cementing its reputation as a stylish and exotic cocktail ingredient.

One reason Midori is so distinct is the high-quality melons used in its production. These premium Yubari and muskmelons are prized in Japan for their sweet, rich taste. The liqueur’s base spirit is typically neutral, allowing the melon flavor to shine through with a perfect balance of sweetness and brightness.

Over the decades, Midori has become a staple in classic and creative cocktails—from the popular Midori Sour to countless tiki and tropical-inspired creations. Fun fact: Midori’s color was once so intense that bartenders often used just a splash to turn drinks a vibrant green.

In the 2010s, Midori underwent a recipe and branding refresh to create a slightly more refined taste and a modern look, keeping it relevant for today’s craft cocktail boom. Its low ABV (about 20%) makes it versatile and approachable for a wide range of drinks.

Midori remains a symbol of fun, creativity, and bold flavor—whether in neon-lit clubs or home cocktail bars!

**What if Cocktails Could Talk?**

On July 19, 2024, I captured a serene moment on my balcony: a refreshing cocktail perched on my wooden table. The drink's vibrant hue and the lime garnish suggest it could be a classic Daiquiri, Margarita, or perhaps a Caipirinha. Each of these cocktails celebrates the zest of lime, offering a delightful balance of flavors.

In the background, a lilac-colored glass flower pot adds a touch of elegance, complemented by cascading artificial wisteria that brings a hint of nature to the urban setting. This scene encapsulates a perfect summer afternoon, blending tranquility with a splash of indulgence.

Reflecting on this image, I'm reminded of the simple joys: crafting a delicious cocktail, savoring it in a cozy space, and appreciating the little details that make moments special. It's fascinating how a single photograph can evoke memories and emotions, transporting us back to a specific time and place.

For fellow cocktail enthusiasts and those who cherish life's simple pleasures, this snapshot serves as a gentle nudge to pause and enjoy the present. Whether you're a seasoned mixologist or someone who enjoys a casual drink, there's always a new flavor to explore and a new memory to create.

As I continue my journey as a content creator, sharing snippets of my life, I invite you all to join me in celebrating these moments. Let's raise a glass to the past, present, and the delightful surprises the future holds.

Cheers! 🥂
