HOW I GOT MY LUNCH AT THE BOAT CLUB #veganrecipes #stockholmlife #selfca...

link to my vlog: http://joakimcliftonbergman.blogspot.com

Today's video is a fun one! đŸŽ„ I started the day editing yesterday's Instagram Stories into fresh content for Instagram Reels, YouTube, and TikTok. It's always a blast tweaking those little moments and making them shine! 😎 Then, I took a break for a lunchtime swim with my friend Martin Johansson at the docks near his boat club in Örnsberg. 🏊‍♂️ The water was freezing but refreshing, and it might just be the last swim of the year! Afterward, I whipped up some homemade pasta at the boat club to refuel before heading out for grocery shopping at a budget-friendly spot. Got some essentials—pasta and noodles. 🍝

When I got home, I was excited to find that the t-shirt I ordered from H&M finally arrived. Perfect timing, because I was about to FaceTime with my friend Magnus! 👕 To top off the afternoon, I made a pink grapefruit cocktail 🍾—a little citrusy treat to sip on while chatting with Magnus.

In the evening, I decided to relax in the best way possible. I grabbed my iPad and a glass of wine đŸ· and treated myself to a bubble bath 🛁. Perfect way to wind down after a busy day.

If you're someone who loves a mix of work, fun, and relaxation, you’ll love this video. And if you’re into theater, vegan cooking, or just a little self-care, this one’s for you! Don’t forget to follow along and hit that like button!

"Roadside Moments in Hansa City"

This is the oldest photo on my phone, taken on July 3, 2023, during a quick stop at Hansa City in Kalmar. My friend Ulf and I were on our way back to Stockholm after visiting my parents in the quaint village of MörbylĂ„nga on Öland. The image features close-up shots of both of us, a moment frozen in time as we paused our road trip for a quick break. Ulf, with his familiar expression, is leaning against the car, looking thoughtful. I’m in the foreground, capturing this brief but memorable stop on a sunny summer day.

July 3, 2023, at Hansa City in Kalmar, Sweden. We were halfway through our journey from Öland back to Stockholm, stopping for a breather after spending time with family.

The photo highlights me and my long-time friend Ulf. It's a candid moment during our road trip, where our expressions say more than words, reflecting the ease and familiarity of a friendship that has lasted for decades.

Hansa City serves as the backdrop, with the usual buzz of a roadside shopping center—cars passing by, shoppers coming and going. It's not about the place itself, but about the little in-between moments that happen while traveling.

Featuring my friend Ulf Nordlander and me. We’ve been through so much together, and this trip was another chapter in our shared journey.

The mood of this photo is relaxed, a mix of nostalgia and contentment. We had just spent a few days in MörbylĂ„nga, and this stop felt like the calm after a refreshing visit with family, reflecting on the road ahead and the memories we’d made.

This photo means a lot to me because it captures the essence of my friendship with Ulf and the comfort of being with someone who has been part of my life for so long. It’s a moment that, though simple, holds layers of shared experiences.

After a few days in Öland, filled with family time, nature, and the peaceful life of the countryside, we were back on the road. This stop at Hansa City wasn’t planned, but sometimes the best moments aren’t—they just happen.

HOW I GOT RECOGNISED BY MY BUM #backstagelife #theatrelovers #veganlife ...

In this entertaining video, I start the day by editing yesterday's Instagram Stories for Reels, YouTube, and TikTok. The sun is shining, and it’s one of those hot days that makes everything move just a little slower. I hop on my bike and head to the theatre. Once there, I start by presetting the costumes. Simon, our stage manager, takes a moment to teach us the precise technique for mopping the stage floor. Who knew it required such skill?

Next, I give a backstage tour, showing how the stage elevator works. It’s so hot that we’ve placed a broken fan on the floor to circulate the slightly cooler air. Meanwhile, the actorbats are getting ready for the show. I’m on zipper duty today, fixing a broken one just in time for the performance. The last show of the week wraps up, but I stay behind to tackle the laundry. It’s part of the job!

On my way home, something funny happens—I'm recognized from behind by an old colleague, also named Joakim. We worked together 30 years ago at Hamburger Börs when he was a chef and I was helping out in the kitchen. Small world, right?

Living in Midsommarkransen, a cozy suburb of Stockholm, I’m a dresser and costume supervisor at a musical theatre here in the city. I love vlogging, vegan cooking, and anything related to theatre and style. Every day, I upload a video to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Threads. Then, I take the oldest picture on my iPhone, post it, and delete it to keep things fresh and nostalgic.

"Old Friend, Old Memories"

This is the oldest photo on my phone, taken on July 2, 2023, at my parents' house in the small village of MörbylĂ„nga on the Swedish island of Öland. It features my dear friend Ulf Nordlander, casually leaning against the yellow wooden wall of the house, wearing his favorite yellow hoodie and smoking a cigarette. The yellow wall, weathered but still bright, is partially covered by plants climbing up, adding a touch of nature to the scene. It's one of those quiet moments that feels so simple, yet somehow perfect.

The day was warm, and Ulf and I had just finished a long chat over coffee in the garden. We’ve been friends for about 35 years now, having met while pursuing acting before both shifting paths—Ulf into elder care and me into costume and dressing. This photo captures Ulf in a moment of relaxation, an old friend in a familiar place, lost in thought, or maybe just enjoying the calm of the countryside.

This moment, simple as it is, means a lot to me. Ulf has been such a constant in my life, and this photo brings me back to that day when we were visiting my parents. It’s not just a picture of a friend—it’s a snapshot of friendship, time, and the kind of comfort you only feel around someone you’ve known for decades.

Every time I look at this image, I’m reminded of how much we’ve been through together and how much I cherish these kinds of quiet moments. There’s a sense of nostalgia here—standing outside my parents’ house, talking about life, and just being present with someone who knows you so well.

HOW I GOT MY BLUEBERRY BUN #theatrelife #veganlifestyle #btsfun #musical...

In this fun and busy day, I kick things off by editing yesterday's Instagram Stories, making them perfect for Instagram Reels, YouTube, and TikTok. After that, I hop on my bike and head to the theatre—it’s a two-show day, so there's a lot going on.

Johanna, my fellow dresser, surprises me with some vegan blueberry buns she brought for me and the makeup artist, David. At last night’s opening night party, they handed out baseball caps with the show's logo on them, but since I left early, I got mine today.

Things get spicy—literally—when Johanna tries some super-hot instant noodles. Meanwhile, David shows off his underwear, adding a hilarious moment to the day. There's even a marathon happening outside the theatre, creating a bit of chaos.

Inside, it’s scorching, and I have to keep wetting my baseball cap to cool down. The cast is juggling understudies, with Hanna stepping up for the lead role in the first show and back in her ensemble track for the second.

By the end of the day, I’m tired but happy, and it’s been another whirlwind of theatre life, filled with vegan treats, surprises, and backstage fun.

I live in Midsommarkransen, Stockholm, and work as a dresser and costume supervisor for a musical theatre. I’m all about vlogging, vegan cooking, theatre, and style. Every day, I post videos to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Threads. Then I upload the oldest photo from my iPhone and delete it to keep my feed fresh and nostalgic. It’s my daily ritual!

The Rose Garden Memory

This is the oldest photo on my phone, taken on July 2, 2023, in my parents' beautiful garden in MörbylĂ„nga, a quaint village on the Swedish island of Öland. Ulf and I were visiting for a couple of days, and I couldn't resist snapping this picture of the garden that always feels like a peaceful retreat. In the photo, you can see some of the lovely flowers and bushes that line the border to their neighbor’s yard, but the real stars are the almost fluorescent red-pink roses in full bloom. I wish I knew their name because they truly stood out that day, adding a vibrant splash of color to the green backdrop.

The garden itself is a labor of love for my parents, filled with flowering plants that change with the seasons. This photo captures a moment of stillness in their little corner of paradise, a reflection of the joy they take in cultivating something so beautiful. The air was warm, the scent of flowers heavy, and Ulf and I had just come back from a walk along the coast. I love how this image blends the wildness of nature with the care my parents have put into the space.

The vibrant roses steal the spotlight, but the photo also quietly features the garden's other treasures: small bushes, creeping vines, and the border of flowers stretching out like a living frame. It’s not just a picture of plants, but a snapshot of memories—of family, visits home, and time spent with old friends. This place and these small moments mean a lot to me, reminding me of where I come from and the simple beauty in everyday things.

There’s something grounding about returning to this garden, something peaceful about the rhythm of plants growing and blooming year after year. That’s why this photo is more than just a nice shot—it’s a meaningful glimpse into the life I’ve shared with the people and places I love.

HOW I GOT MY REOPENING NIGHT GIFT #BackstageStories #TheatreLife #Musica...

Today’s video starts off with me editing yesterday’s Instagram Stories to get them ready for Instagram Reels, YouTube, and TikTok. A typical morning routine, but trust me—it’s more entertaining than it sounds! Once the edits are done, I hop on my bike, and the weather is perfect. Sunshine and a gentle breeze as I pedal my way to the theatre.

It’s reopening night after our summer break, and excitement is in the air. When I get to the theatre, I find out that David Julio, our makeup artist, gave me the coolest gift: a book called *HONEY, I’M HOMO.* I can’t wait to dive into it. He also gave our assistant Johanna a Dolly Parton cake mix, which is honestly the most fabulous gift. Johanna, by the way, just came back from shopping for belts, so there’s a lot of style inspiration going around today.

The actor Pontus gets a fresh haircut, while David gets a much-needed massage from Isak Bendelin. Trust me, David is *tense* but in good hands. Meanwhile, actor and acrobat Petter Mario Skoglund pops by, super excited after scoring some seriously expensive clothes on sale. He’s not the only one! Nils, another actor, managed to find an amazing leather jacket. Both pieces came from a sale of old costumes used in a Swedish movie.

And then... showtime! The buzz backstage is unreal.

I'm a gay vegan man living in Midsommarkransen, a suburb of Stockholm. I work as a dresser and costume supervisor at a musical theatre in Stockholm. I love vlogging, vegan cooking, theatre, and style. Every day, I upload videos to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Threads. Oh, and I have a fun tradition: I upload the oldest photo on my iPhone to social media, then delete it to keep my feed fresh and nostalgic.
