SECOND DAY CHAOS: BEERS, SHARKS & A BIKE FAIL 🎭🍺🦈🚲

Welcome to my life as a dresser and costume supervisor in Stockholm, where no two days are alike, and every day contains a little theatre of its own. Today, I take you behind the seams—yes, seams—of both work and life.

🌟 The Day Begins in the Atelier
My second day is filled with rhythm and small rituals. I sit with Lisa, our razor-sharp production assistant, and we play a game: she lists three highlights of my summer, I list three highlights of hers. It’s an exchange of stories, a little theatre of friendship. Sharing moments becomes a way of stitching lives together.

Back to my task: sewing name tags into dressing gowns. The kind of job that seems small but holds entire productions together. 🧵 Each gown must carry its owner’s identity; each stitch is part of the performance. And then—a personal triumph at home: my brand-new washing machine, gleaming like the star of its own operetta.

🍺 After Work on the Rooftop
But theatre isn’t only backstage—it’s in the city, too. After work, David suggests an “after work” at Urban Deli’s rooftop bar. Lisa, Git, and I join him, and suddenly the evening is transformed.

Three beers later, laughter is louder, the skyline more romantic. David entertains us by demonstrating his Boston accent: the word “art” alone takes us to another continent. Then, he shares his shark-tracking app, following predators along the New England coast. 🦈 The juxtaposition! Beers and sharks, Boston and Stockholm, theatre and marine biology.

🚲 The Comedy Finale
And then, the highlight: David attempts to ride his bike without unlocking it. The attempt is… less than successful. But it’s a fitting finale for a day that was equal parts elegance, absurdity, and delight.
