It's Sunday, and the weather is truly perfect—a cool, crisp marine day that highlights the stunning autumn aesthetic. ☀️🍂 This vlog is all about embracing those cozy, beautiful days. But this particular Sunday held two massive, often-unrelated celebrations: it was both the anniversary of the original publication of Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre and International Gin & Tonic Day! 🍸📚

THE HILARIOUS THEATRE POP QUIZ

Such a curious cultural overlap demanded an investigation! I took my camera backstage to interview the cast and crew about their knowledge and opinions on the matter. It was surprisingly funny! Our beloved stage manager, Simon, gave me the most honest answers: he confessed a strong dislike for Gin & Tonics (or any cocktail for that matter—he’s strictly a beer and wine enthusiast 🍺🍷) and admitted he wasn't quite sure whopenned the classic novel. 😂 His sincerity is priceless, and it’s a great reminder that people can be brilliant at their jobs while remaining happily clueless about literary history! This segment is pure backstage fun and crew interview comedy.

WORD OF THE DAY & COMEDY SKETCH

To honour the day, I filmed two small pieces of comedy content: a short, goofy sketch where I impersonated the author, "Jane Ear" (a little nod to the day’s literary hero, Ms. Eyre! 😉), and a new episode of my popular series, SWEDISH WORD OF THE DAY. Today's word is "Sax," which, of course, means "scissors" ✂️. It's a fun, quick way to learn useful vocabulary!

A LATE-NIGHT FASHION SURPRISE

The day concluded with a triumphant return home and a celebratory Gin & Tonic to honour the day’s cocktail holiday. 🧊🍋 A simple ritual that brings so much joy. But the final act of this Sunday was a total surprise! Just as I was settling into bed, I received a text notification that a package had been delivered to my door! 🎁 The contents? A beautiful, plush, camel-coloured jacket from the H&M Studio collection! I unbox it right then and there—from the comfort of my bed! This jacket is a stunning piece of autumn menswear, and this unexpected H&M Studio haul was the perfect cherry on top of a wonderful day! 🧥✨

HE WON A $200 BOTTLE OF PERFUME AT BACKSTAGE JUNK ROULETTE?! 🤯 TWO SHOW ...

Can a discarded item of junk truly be a bottle of highly coveted perfume, and did I nearly miss the entire spectacle while fetching hosiery? You are invited to the most dramatic and rewarding two-show Saturday in our backstage history! 🤩🎭

Good day to you all! If there is one thing I have learned in my theatrical life, it is that a two-show Saturday is a marathon of energy, chaos, and, occasionally, utter glamour. Today’s video is a perfect slice of life from the theatre, beginning with a most satisfying delivery! 📦✨

My morning began with a charming surprise right in my door slot: a package so slender, it must have contained a most delicate garment. And indeed it did! A sheer, glittery mesh T-shirt from H&M Divided! It is a delightful piece of whimsy, perfect for layering and adding a touch of sparkle to even the most mundane outing. This little find proves that a bit of sheer joy can be had even from the most accessible of fashion lines. I give you a proper viewing of the new tee—it is divine. 💖

The core of our Saturday’s social calendar, of course, revolves around the sacred time between the performances. I had a small, necessary errand—a quick dash out to purchase new tights—but I made it back just in time for our favorite backstage ritual: The Roulette! 🎲

For those new to our antics, The Roulette is where the cast and crew convene in the theatre backstage kitchen to exchange items we have brought from home that we no longer need. It’s a hilarious game of white elephant that embraces the glorious chaos of reusing and recycling. Everyone brings their clutter, and the winner gets the most splendidly random collection of cast-offs! The tension was palpable, I assure you! 😆

And this week's victor? Our very own Per Svensson—the winner once again! He seems to possess a truly enviable luck in these matters! But what he won this time was utterly exceptional and quite beyond the usual collection of novelty mugs and moth-eaten scarves: a bottle of genuinely expensive FLORIS No. 89 Perfume! The scent is classic, and the price tag is significant. The sheer absurdity of this high-value prize appearing in our junk exchange was truly a moment to behold! 😱 David, our dear makeup man, was absolutely beside himself with envy—a reaction that was almost as amusing as the prize itself. We had a wonderfully theatrical moment of sniffing the air and debating the fairness of Per's luck. 🍾

To document the day's events, and to continue my mission of cultural enlightenment, I also managed to film a quick, charming installment of my series, SWEDISH WORD OF THE DAY. It's a fun way to share a bit of the local language and humor with all of you! 🇸🇪🗣️

What happens when rehearsals end, and the night takes you to a gay bar with too many beers? 🍻🌈✨

In today’s vlog, you’ll step into the rhythm of my life as a dresser and costume supervisor at a buzzing Stockholm theatre—where sewing buttons and managing rehearsals is only half the story. The other half? Laughter, language, nightlife, and the dazzling people I share it all with.

🎭 Inside the Theatre: Work and Words
The day begins with rehearsals for our farce—lively, fast, always on the edge of chaos. Between cues and costumes, I create four or five new segments of my viral series: #swedishwordoftheday. Words are my props, my costumes, my theatre. They delight, they connect, they travel far beyond the stage.

Lisa, our production assistant, adds a twist of humor. She casually shows us all the places on her face where she could, in theory, place a piercing. 👀💎 Brow, lip, cheek… she becomes a map of mischief, a walking imagination board. These moments are why I film: life backstage is never dull.

But when the costumes are hung and the last button sewn, another act begins. Across the street, a small but lively gay bar—Harald’s—beckons. It’s my second evening there in a row, but this time, Lisa stays behind. Instead, I’m joined by Git, our director’s assistant, and David, our brilliant wig and makeup designer.

What follows is laughter, storytelling, far too many beers, and the kind of bonding that only happens after work. 🍻🌆 The sparkle of theatre spills into the night, blending work friendships into real, vibrant connection.

Wander into the kitchen, remember I need smoked paprika 🌶️, but by the time I hit the living room—*poof*—memory gone 🧠💨. Took me *two whole days* to remember what I forgot 😅.

Lunch? Vegan red lentil patties and pasta 🍝🌱. Dinner-to-go? Spicy dan dan noodles with chili crunch, for my balcony hangout with Ulf 🍜🍷. But first: half an hour on the crosstrainer 🏃‍♂️💦, a quick shower 🚿, a smooth shave 🪒, and I shimmy into my Kenzo x H&M hoodie 👕🔥.

With a donation bag in hand 🎒, I swing by Stadsmissionen at Liljeholmstorget ♻️. At ICA I strike gold: *deactivated yeast*—that magical cheesy vegan trick 🧀✨.

On Ulf’s balcony: wine and chatter 🍷🗨️. Inside: more wine, and a scratch ticket (no win 💸). Suddenly I think Ulf’s twerking—nope, just picking up a pen 😆🍑.

We shoot a *Swedish Word of the Day* episode 🎬, using all of Ulf’s vintage wigs 🎭💁‍♂️. We try to finish *The Residence*, but Ulf keeps snoozing 😴📺. We call it a night, but not before I’ve squeezed in 10,000 steps of laughter and creativity 😂🎥.

HOW I GOT PORCELAIN SHARDS EVERYWHERE…

Chaos, creativity & a little bit of Liza 🎭✨ Started the day editing yesterday’s stories 🎥, then decided my avocado tree 🥑 needed a new home—back to the bathroom 🚿! But on the way… DISASTER! 😱 My beautiful black porcelain vase from H&M x The British Museum 🏺 met its tragic end on the floor. Porcelain shards everywhere! So unnecessary! 🫠💔  

After cleaning up the mess 🧹, I went out for a CO2 canister exchange for my SodaStream 🍾 and somehow ended up buying a ton of seeds 🌿. Guess it’s time for a herb garden? 🌱 Back home, it was time for *Swedish Word of the Day* 🇸🇪🎤—today’s word? Popcorn! 🍿  

The evening was all about inspiration: a documentary on Liza Minnelli 👑 and another on Bob Mackie’s dazzling designs ✨👗. Iconic!  

It was a good day. 💕
