Some photos don’t just capture a moment — they *freeze* your whole vibe ❄️✨ This one? It’s November 23, 2024, and I’d just biked to the theatre through Stockholm’s icy wind, cheeks burning red from the cold 🚲🧣

I’d stepped into the costume shop still foggy from the ride, wearing my *second* pair of silver mirrored sunglasses from H&M Studio 🕶️ (because the first ones broke dramatically mid-season). Wrapped in my oversized second-hand KENZO x H&M tiger scarf 🐅, orange beanie 🍊, and cozy blue ERDEM x H&M wool sweater 💙 — I was feeling like a stylish bug that survived a blizzard 😎

📍 Filmed in my Midsommarkransen apartment—a suburb of Stockholm where I live and work as a dresser and costume supervisor at a musical theatre 🎭.  

As always, I start the day by editing yesterday’s story videos, uploading across social platforms, and posting the oldest photo on my phone—then deleting it. It’s my quirky way of combining digital detox with daily storytelling 🧠💡.  

And this day got *even better*: I decided to make a birthday music video from scratch using AI. I wrote the lyrics with ChatGPT and generated the song using Suno. The result? Surprisingly catchy! Don’t miss my reaction to hearing the first version.

Then it’s time to upload, write the descriptions, and post the **oldest photo on my iPhone** (yes, it's a thing—nostalgia meets decluttering 🕰️📷). Once I erase it, I feel *brand new* 💅🏼

But here’s the twist—my balcony and kitchen both have these weird, awkward “zones” that just don’t *work*. So when I saw IKEA’s VESKEN trolley-style shelf units online, I had a ✨vision✨. With my oversized black sunglasses 😎 and my multicolored faux fur Kenzo x H&M tiger-striped bomber 🐯, I hopped on my bike 🚲 and rode into Stockholm’s city center to the IKEA store in Gallerian.

Mission: Two trolleys for my balcony and one tall unit for my kitchen corner. 🎯 While I was there, I stumbled upon the IKEA Museum Pop-Up Shop and couldn’t resist a few cute placemats 🧡. Once home, I assembled the shelves (super easy 🛠️) and finally filled that useless balcony gap with pots and prettiness 🌿🌸. 

BUT… the tall kitchen shelf? It looked so good that I now NEED a second one to stack on top. 😅

I wrap up the day FaceTiming Magnus 📞, sipping on a classic Kamikaze 🍸, and feeling like my life is 10% more organized—and 100% more fabulous.

A ferry ride, a surprise fika, and a vegan blueberry pie—this is how you do a birthday in the Stockholm archipelago.** 🎂🛥️🌸

Come with me on the ultimate Swedish spring birthday escape! I was invited (sort of secretly) by my coworker David to a *Tynningö lunch and fika*, which turned out to be the sweetest island gathering I could've wished for.

🚲 The day started early, biking from Midsommarkransen to Skeppskajen with birthday nerves in full swing.  

🛥️ We caught the SL boat just in time and coasted through the glittering archipelago.  

👯‍♀️ I was reunited with dear colleagues from my theatre days: Eva (*CHESS*, *CHINAREVYN*, *MAMMA MIA!*), Pia (from the Oscarsteatern stage door), Smulan (props queen turned pawnshop expert), and Git (who’s been in my life since *Rivierans Guldgossar*).  

🌞 On Tynningö, David and his husband P.M. welcomed us with pink spritz cocktails and smiles. Their cozy house sits atop a rocky cliff with a stunning sea view. The veranda became the hub for laughter, spring gossip, and generous gifts—like Chinese groceries, vegan treats, and even a cucumber plant.

🔥 Lunch was grilled to perfection:  

• Vegan hotdogs for me 🌱  

• Vegetarian for Johanna 🧅  

• Regular for the rest 🐷  

• Served with wine, ketchup, fried onions, and a crunchy salad with roasted walnuts 🥗  

🌸 Between bites, Johanna and I discovered a blooming Japanese cherry tree full of bees—pure magic.  

🫐 Dessert? A dreamy vegan blueberry pie with vanilla custard as everyone sang happy birthday to me 🥹  

💬 The day wrapped up with heartfelt chats about aging (hello 60+ chair test!), and a chilly farewell ferry back to the mainland.
