What if the best show of the year was one you didn’t even see coming? 🌟

On February 2, 2025, I found myself in the grand auditorium of Filadelfiakyrkan in Stockholm with my friend, colleague, and makeup artist extraordinaire Johanna Lysdahl. We were there to watch *Handbok för Superhjältar*, the musical adaptation of the beloved children's books by Elias & Agnes Våhlund. 🦸‍♀️📕 The book series, hugely popular in Sweden and beyond, tells the inspiring story of Lisa—a shy, bullied girl who discovers a superhero handbook and learns to stand up for herself, turning fear into fierce courage. 💥 It’s a story of empowerment, resilience, and finding your inner strength—perfect material for the stage.

I didn’t know quite what to expect going in. But from the first scene, I was blown away. 🤯 The performances, the staging, the energy—it all came together beautifully. A special shout-out to Petter Mario Skoglund, our former coworker and friend, who dazzled with his mix of acting, singing, and acrobatics. Watching someone you know bring their absolute A-game to a show like this? Magic. ✨

 Johanna and I snapped a pic before the lights went down—me rocking my signature black sequin bomber (because theatre night deserves sparkle), Johanna stunning in classic black. 🖤 That photo, taken right there in the auditorium glow, captures everything: excitement, friendship, and the joy of a night at the theatre.

And because no great night is complete without great food, we finished with vegan tacos at Dirty Taco next door. 🌮💚 Seriously delicious.

What if going to the theatre still felt like an occasion?

There’s something about the ritual of going to the theatre that I’ve always loved: meeting friends, grabbing a coffee, soaking in the excitement of a new production. This photo—taken 23 January 2025—captures exactly that. I’m sitting at Kafé Plattan, the vegan café tucked inside Kulturhuset in central Stockholm, wearing my black-and-silver sequin shirt from H\&M ✨. My friend Majsan and I met up there to catch up before heading to Stadsteatern for the dress rehearsal of *Stephen Sondheim’s COMPANY*.

If you’ve never been, Kafé Plattan is a great hangout: fully vegan, with tasty food, a relaxed vibe, and the bonus of being right by Stadsteatern 🎭. It’s my favorite pre-theatre meeting spot because it makes the whole evening feel special. And that night, I wanted to bring the sparkle—literally. Over the past few years, I’ve made a point of dressing up when I go to the theatre. There’s something about adding sequins or a bold outfit that reminds me: this is an *occasion.* And the best part? People notice. Strangers smile, ask about your look, and there’s a sense of shared celebration ✨.

The show? Well... let’s just say it didn’t live up to the sequins. COMPANY featured a female Bobby, and while that’s become a bit of a trend, I couldn’t help but feel it lost the essence of the story. What’s supposed to be about the universal search for connection felt reduced to a woman’s anxiety over her biological clock. 

Sure, the cast was packed with top-tier musical theatre talent, but the production just didn’t gel for me—or for the broader audience, apparently, because it ended up closing early. Proof that even Sondheim’s genius can’t save a misstep in interpretation 🎶.

Still, I wouldn’t trade that night for anything: good food, a glittery outfit, deep conversation, and the thrill of seeing a show (even if it flops!).

What happens when a content creator starts his day with editing... and ends it with existential theatre, paprika, and popcorn? Welcome to my life. 💻📸🎭

In this funny, chaotic, and surprisingly heartfelt vlog, I take you through a typical but totally *not* typical day in my Stockholm life. From early morning edits of Instagram Stories, uploading cross-platform content, and writing video descriptions, to my daily ritual of posting (then deleting) the oldest photo on my iPhone — this is how I balance creativity with clarity. ✍️📱🗑️

Next stop: my crosstrainer for some quick cardio 🏃‍♂️💦 (gotta keep the content engine running), followed by biking through beautiful Stockholm 🚲 — specifically to **Norrmalm**, one of the city's most vibrant cultural districts. Norrmalm is the pulse of downtown Stockholm — home to busy streets, iconic buildings, shopping, and theatres — and today, I’m heading there for the **opening night of "TOP NOTCH"** at Fri Scen in Kulturhuset Stadsteatern. 🏛️🎟️

I was invited by my dear friend Martin, who produced the show, and obviously I couldn’t turn down a night of live music, vulnerability, and theatre at its rawest. But first, I make some crucial stops: ICA at Mariatorget for smoked paprika 🌶️ and dental brushes 🦷 (yes, really), Systembolaget for a bottle of Triple Sec 🍊 (gift for Martin), and popcorn from Hemköp 🍿. A spontaneous Max pitstop on Sergels Torg gets me a quick vegan burger 🍔—and an unexpected reunion with performer Viktor Molino, my former castmate in *Singin’ in the Rain* and *Spamalot*. 🎭💃

Then—*TOP NOTCH*. This musikteaterföreställning by **Niklas Löjdmark Chressman** hit like a storm 💥. It explores what happens when everything crashes — when a high-performing man burns out 🧠💤 and tries to reconnect with music 🎶, humour 😅, movement 🕺 and identity ✍️.

It’s messy. Honest. Beautiful. With electric guitar 🎸, stark honesty 🪞, laughter through tears 😂, and a touch of nudity 👀, we’re brought into a world of psychological unraveling, self-medication 💊, and the raw desire for connection ❤️ and presence 🌿.

This is the final piece in Niklas’ trilogy (after *Nathanael* and *I väntan på mod*) and with Tobias Kalliokulju by his side — as both musician 🎹 and psychologist 🧠 — it's truly a bold blend of music, monologue, therapy and performance art.
