**What if… I Took the Subway?**

Throwback to January 6, 2024—the oldest photo on my phone! It’s a selfie of me sitting on the subway 🚇📸. Judging by the timestamp (10:00 AM), I was probably heading to the theatre for another magical day 🎭✨. This particular morning must have been snow-packed ❄️, as my usual bike commute was out of the question 🚴‍♀️❌.

In the photo, I’m wearing my acid green beanie 🟩🧢 and my favorite silver sequin puffer jacket from Zara 🌟, a second-hand treasure I scored on Vinted 🛍️♻️. It’s my go-to piece for staying stylish and warm, even in Stockholm’s icy winters 🥶. The setting? A classic Stockholm subway car, with that familiar hum of morning commuters and frosty windows in the background 🚉✨.

This was during the second season of the musical I work on, which was in full swing and going gangbusters 💃🎶! As a dresser and costume supervisor, my days are often fast-paced and full of creative challenges 🎨👗. But this candid subway moment reminds me of how essential the journey is, not just the destination 🌍💭.

Looking back, I’m struck by how this ordinary commute represents my love for layering life with creativity—whether it’s my wardrobe, my work, or my everyday adventures 🎨🚀. There’s beauty in the simplicity of a quiet subway ride, dreaming of the day ahead 🌟❤️.

Who else loves rediscovering old photos on their phone? It’s like finding hidden treasures in your digital time capsule ⏳📱! Share your oldest photo in the comments—let’s take a walk down memory lane together 🤳💬.

HOW I GOT THE LAST PIECE IN PLACE

Starting the day editing yesterday’s Instagram stories for all my social media outlets—it’s how I keep my creative flow going 🎥✨. After that, I finally roll out of bed, still feeling the effects of last night’s Christmas break party at the theatre. Let’s just say, the tired vibes are real 😴🎭.

Now, onto my sunglasses obsession 😎. I collect special H&M designer collab shades—Karl Lagerfeld, Marni, Lanvin—you name it. To display them, I’ve put up IKEA picture ledges near my bathroom. But I’ve got a dilemma: I need more ledges, and IKEA stopped making them. Tragic, right? 😩 Until… while cleaning the spices in my kitchen (yes, really), I discover a forgotten ledge! Cue instant happiness 🥳.

Fast forward to the evening, and it’s cocktail o’clock 🍹. I FaceTime my friend Magnus, but first, I make a Kamikaze cocktail 🍸. While mixing, inspiration strikes: why not create a Kamikaze song? Using ChatGPT and Suno, I whip up a track that’s surprisingly great 🎶. Magnus joins the call with his Ocean View cocktail, and we dive into all the fun—voice cloning experiments and plans for a New Year’s concert at Storkyrkan 🕊️🎶.

The night ends with plans to visit Magnus and relive old travel adventures through our videos 🌍📼. Every day in my Midsommarkransen apartment is full of surprises, from theatre life to quirky personal projects.

**What if Backstage Was the Main Stage?**

The oldest photos on my iPhone, taken on January 6, 2024, capture the electric energy of the cast backstage at the theatre. But there’s a twist: I’ve added quotes from the show onto these candid snapshots. The result is a blend of raw moments and theatrical humor, giving you a unique peek into the world behind the curtain.

These images reveal the beauty of backstage life—costumes mid-adjustment, last-minute line rehearsals, and the perfect mix of chaos and camaraderie. It’s a place where laughter meets focus and creativity thrives in every corner. Layering the show’s quotes over these moments turns them into timeless pieces, celebrating the art of storytelling and spontaneity that make live theatre so magical.

The photos are filled with vibrant costumes, quirky props, and the hum of pre-show rituals. They remind me why this world feels like home—it’s not just about the drama on stage, but the incredible teamwork and joy behind it.

For me, these snapshots are more than just memories. They’re a tribute to everyone who pours their heart into making live theatre come alive. They highlight the charm of imperfections and the collective effort that transforms a vision into reality.

Which pairing of quote and image speaks to you the most? Let me know in the comments!

SNICKRA SNICKRA...

In this funny and entertaining video, I captured a moment that had everyone at the Christmas dinner laughing out loud! After the last show of the year, the male ensemble got up during the dinner to perform their hilarious take on the women’s famous number from the show. While the original is called *Sticka, Sticka* (Knit, Knit), their version was named *Snickra, Snickra* (Hammer, Hammer). It’s such a clever parody, complete with exaggerated moves and over-the-top enthusiasm.

The male ensemble—Hjalmar Freij, Petter Mario Skoglund, Nils Weibull, Denny Lekström, Joakim Jennefors, Martin Stokke Mathiesen, and Pontus Wonkawara—completely stole the spotlight! Watching them hammer and strut around with props was the perfect way to end the season.

The joy in the room was infectious, with the cast and crew cheering, clapping, and laughing throughout. It’s moments like these that make working in theatre so special—the creativity, camaraderie, and humor that bring us all together.

This video is a little slice of that magic, giving you a backstage pass to the fun and spontaneity that happens offstage. If you love theatre, humor, or just need a good laugh, you’ll love this clip.

HOW I GOT TO SAY GOODBYE TO GREAT PEOPLE…

The last shows of the year are done, and it’s time to celebrate! In this fun and heartfelt video, the actors are removing their head mics after the final curtain call, while Johanna, David, and I toast with bubbly in the costume shop—a little tradition to mark the end of an incredible season.

Dinner follows at the theatre’s restaurant, where the mood is both festive and emotional. Speeches and gifts are delivered to the four amazing actors who are leaving the show—Petter Mario Skoglund, Martin Stokke Mathiesen, Sofia Pekkari, and Tommy Körberg. Standing together, listening to their heartfelt words and goodbyes, reminds me of how special this theatre family truly is.

And then, a magical moment: a Lucia choir serenades us from the other side of the room, their voices filling the space with the beauty and warmth of the season. It’s one of those moments that feels like a scene from a movie.

Sofia Pekkari closes the evening with a touching speech, a fitting end to a night filled with laughter, tears, and memories we’ll carry with us.

This is why I love sharing these behind-the-scenes glimpses with you—because the heart and soul of theatre isn’t just on stage; it’s in these moments of connection and celebration.

Let me know what part of the evening you loved most after watching the video!

HOW I GOT MY FIRST CHRISTMAS PRESENTS

Starting the day editing yesterday’s Instagram stories for all my social media channels—gotta keep the content flowing! Then it’s decision time: what to wear for the last-show-of-the-season party? Naturally, I go with sequins. Sparkle is life, right?

Next up, I hop on my bike and head to the theatre, feeling ultra-fab in my pink Giambattista Valli x H&M sunglasses, leopard print beanie, floral scarf, and Simone Rocha x H&M trench coat with a pearl-decorated collar. It’s giving "high fashion meets theatre chic," and I’m obsessed!

At the theatre, a sweet surprise awaits—a tiny Christmas gift from David, our makeup and wig designer. Inside: a candy cane and two vegan snacks (yum!). I’ve got something for him, too: a mini bottle of bubbly, which I sneak into his room with maximum stealth. From Johanna, our amazing makeup artist and dresser, I receive a limited-edition bottle of glögg and the cutest rainbow Christmas bauble made of beads. The theatre family love is real!

Today marks the farewell of four incredible cast members—Petter Mario Skoglund, Tommy Körberg, Martin Stokke Mathiesen, and Sofia Pekkari. They’ve been with the show from the start, and their absence will be felt. Petter tells me he’s sad, then shares that if he were an ice cream, he’d be vanilla, and as a soup, minestrone. He even admits he’ll cry during the bows. Same, Petter, same.

The final two shows go smoothly, with one hiccup—Tuva B Larsen calls out sick, and Hanna Ulvan steps in for the last performance. Talk about ending the season with a bang!

Every day is an adventure, and I’m grateful to share these moments with you all. Let me know your favorite part of today’s video!
