In this video, I start my day editing yesterday’s Instagram stories for all my social media platforms. Then I hop on my bike and head to the theatre, snow swirling everywhere. It’s eerily quiet—no one’s out yet. I’m bundled up in my Kenzo scarf, staying warm but stylish.
At the theatre, Lisa Sundstedt pops by just to say hello. She’s brought a Christmas milkshake from MAX, but alas, it’s for her brunch—paired with burgers and fries, of course. Meanwhile, David and I dive into a fun mystery: finding out who Judy Garland’s stand-in was. Guess what? She’s still alive!
The quick-change area gets an upgrade as Emilia finally gets a radiator installed. Naturally, Hjalmar and Jenny inform everyone that the “weird smell” is just dust burning. During downtime, I go around asking everyone their Roman name, created by adding “-ius” to the last thing they ate. David becomes Pie-ius, while Emma is Candy-ius.
Between shows, I treat myself to a little retail therapy, snagging a bougie scented candle from Compagnie de Provence. Back at the theatre, I couldn’t resist making a fun, over-the-top commercial for it—because why not?
Life as a theatre dresser is never dull. From quirky games with the cast to solving Hollywood mysteries, every day has a story.
