What if… AI Saw the Real You?

This is the oldest photo on my phone, taken on November 24, 2023, and it captures me through an AI filter. The original photo is gone, but it was likely shot in portrait mode, blurring the background to create a soft, focused look. I’m pretty sure it was taken at the costume atelier in the theater, where I work, surrounded by familiar sights like the cluttered notice board in the background—the squiggly shapes you see here. There’s something surprisingly special about this image. The AI filter transforms a simple moment in my workspace into something artistic and slightly surreal, giving a new life to the scene.

In this filtered version, it’s like AI decided to add a twist, accentuating details in unexpected ways. It makes me reflect on the magic of tech—how it can recast even ordinary moments with a hint of mystery and creativity. This photo, blending the real and the digital, feels almost like a visual representation of the theater world I live in—filled with transformation, costumes, and character.

Seeing myself through this AI lens feels unique and fascinating. The image captures the sense of creativity that flows through my work as a dresser, and it’s a cool way to remember a regular day in the atelier. It’s a reminder that art exists everywhere, even in everyday snapshots.

Have you ever seen yourself or your surroundings transformed in an unexpected way? Let me know in the comments if AI has shown you a “what if” moment!
