What if Stretching Were a Performance?

📾 The oldest photo on my iPhone was taken on **November 25, 2023**, backstage stage left at the theater. It features the talented actor **Martin Stokke Mathiesen** in the middle of a peculiar but effective stretching routine before stepping onstage for his big number. Martin’s move is a mix of art and athletics: standing half a meter away from the wall, bending over with an arched back, and keeping his arms extended upwards toward the wall.

🏙️ The atmosphere is pure backstage magic—a blend of quiet focus and last-minute preparation. The backdrop includes stage curtains, props tucked into corners, and the muted hum of pre-show excitement. What makes this photo even more fun is how I explored it with a playful filter, creating different variants that turn the moment into something almost abstract and surreal.

✨ This photo perfectly captures the quirky rituals and unique personalities that make theater life so vibrant. For me, it’s a reminder of how every actor brings their own magic to the stage, not just in their performances but in the way they prepare for them. Watching Martin warm up this way before his big moment was both amusing and inspiring—a true behind-the-scenes gem.

🎭 Theater is more than what you see onstage. It’s in the stretches, the snacks shared backstage, and the spontaneous laughter over something as simple as a creative warm-up.
