Morning Rituals:

My day commences with editing yesterday’s Instagram stories, ensuring each moment is perfectly curated for all my social media outlets. I then upload the oldest photo on my iPhone—a practice that keeps my feed both fresh and nostalgic—and promptly delete it, making room for new memories.

Packing Chronicles:

As the show embarks on its tour, I face the challenge of packing. Opting for items I seldom wear, I label them ‘iconic’ for their distinctiveness. Despite aiming for a single suitcase, I concede to two, ensuring every unique piece has its place.

Sustainable Choices:

Before departure, I address the perishables in my kitchen. Chopping and freezing unused vegetables, I ensure nothing goes to waste—a nod to my vegan lifestyle and commitment to sustainability.

The Checklist:

Guided by my “PACKA OCH RESA” list, I meticulously pack essentials:

Bathroom: Deodorant, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, toothpicks, razor, shaving brush, tongue scraper, skincare products, nasal spray, perfume.

Electronics: iPhone with charger and tripod, iPad with charger, power bank with cable.

Miscellaneous: Umbrella, rain gear, reading glasses, sunglasses, vitamins, thermos.

Clothing: Socks, underwear, pajamas, robe, pants, t-shirts, sweaters, jackets, shoes.

Journey Commences:

Leaving my Midsommarkransen apartment, I board the subway to Stockholm Central Station. The journey to Malmö begins, filled with anticipation and the promise of new performances.

What if a fairytale could come to life right in the heart of Stockholm? 🌟🎭

On January 5, 2025, I found myself at the newly renovated Maximteatern at Karlaplan in Östermalm, Stockholm — and it was a night to remember! ✨ The occasion? The grand opening night of *Shrek The Musical*, produced by the exciting new company WEST END STOCKHOLM, known for having some of the sharpest PR around. 🎭🇸🇪

I was thrilled to be invited and brought along my friend Ulf for the fun. 🎟️ Right in front of us sat my good friend Martin and his guest, and the energy was already buzzing before the lights even dimmed! ✨ To top it off, when we arrived at our seats, we were treated to generous goodie bags 🍫🥤 filled with snacks to enjoy during the performance — the perfect way to kick off the evening.

The show itself was pure magic. 🧚‍♂️🐉 The costumes were nothing short of jaw-dropping — every character from the Shrek universe came to life with incredible detail, craftsmanship, and color. 👑👗 Every stitch, every prop, every wig felt lovingly created to transport the audience straight into a real-life fairytale world. 🌟

 The set design was equally mind-blowing 🎬✨, with seamless scene transitions that moved like a living, breathing storybook 📖. There wasn’t a single lull — the pacing, the music, the visuals, everything kept the audience mesmerized from the first note to the standing ovation at the end. 👏🏰

The photo I’m sharing today captures the final, euphoric moment of the night: the entire cast assembled on stage, glowing under the lights, taking their well-earned bows. 🎶💚 The energy in that room was contagious; you could feel the pride, joy, and pure theatre magic in the air. 🧡

Moments like these remind me why I love theatre so much — the artistry, the storytelling, the community, the magic. ✨ Being able to experience it with close friends made it all the more special. 🥰

🎉 From zero plans to a musical night at Globen—my spontaneous day took a...

Today’s vlog starts with my usual digital ritual ☕💻—editing yesterday’s Instagram Stories, uploading across all platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Insta), and posting the oldest photo from my iPhone before deleting it 📸🗑️. It’s all part of my fresh + nostalgic content routine that keeps my feed dynamic and fun.

🎟️ Then, the unexpected happens. My friend Jennie Backman texts me: her girlfriend is sick—do I want to join her for *We Will Rock You* at AVICII Arena (Globen)? OF COURSE! Suddenly, my day gets a whole new direction 🎶👑

✨ My outfit? Leopard print beanie from Giambattista Valli x H&M 🐆 and a black hooded Moschino x H&M bomber jacket with DC disc patterns 🔥 Because musical theatre deserves a fashion moment, even in your pockets—because yes, we couldn’t bring bags due to a terror threat at the venue 🎒🚫

🎤 The show? Mixed feelings. The iconic music was there, but I missed a strong POV. Still, Margaretha Julle’s costume design stole the spotlight 💃

🥖 On arrival, I was hit with nostalgia. I used to work here—at the subway stop Globen—selling bread in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. Life’s funny like that.

🛒 Post-show, I picked up tortilla chips from ICA Årsta, and a teen called my jacket “so cool.” That + chips = JOY.

HOW I GOT TO A TEENY TINY THEATRE…

🎬 Start the day with me as I edit yesterday’s Instagram Stories for all my social media outlets ✂️📱. Once they’re polished, it’s time to upload them to YouTube 📤, write the descriptions 📝, and get everything ready before heading to the theatre! 🎭  

At work, David is on a mission: he needs a box 📦 big enough to fit a wig stand, a styrofoam head, and a BIG wig 👩‍🎤. The struggle is real! Meanwhile, I fuel up with a cozy vegan lunch: elbow macaroni with creamy béchamel sauce and IKEA’s famous vegan meatballs 🍝🌱. Perfection!  

Then, it’s time for a little *French flair*! 🇫🇷 I ask my coworker Johanna to recap our pre-lunch activities—but with a French accent. She absolutely nails it! 😂👌 Dinner? Well, it’s *déjà vu*, because I have the same meal again. No regrets!  

As night falls, I sneak out to Ö2scenkonst Kungsholmen, a tiny theatre on Bergsgatan 11 🎟️. Martin and I are here to watch *FÖRBJUD ALLA BLOMMOR* (*Ban All Flowers*) 🌸⛔. The show? Meh. But biking home is always an adventure! 🚴💨 We take a detour through Slussen, where we "liberate" a few posters from a wooden construction wall. 🎭🖼️ Martin and I part ways at a gas station in Aspudden ⛽—another day well spent!

HOW I GOT FLAPJACKS IN ÅRSTA…

Starting the day with some ✂️ editing magic, trimming yesterday’s Instagram stories for all my social media platforms 🎥. Then it’s time to hit the road 🚴‍♂️—or rather, the bike lanes of Stockholm—wearing THE ESSENCE VAULT Scene 111, my turquoise & black leopard-print faux fur jacket 🐆💙, and my COMPANY London baseball cap that boldly asks, “Does anyone still wear a hat?” 🧢✨  

At the theatre, Johanna and I keep packing up the show 📦—getting everything prepped for the spring & summer tour 🎭. A quick mission up into the attic (cue suspenseful music 🎵) to locate some knitted slippers 🧦 and sneak in a black cape among the rest. Just another day in the life of a dresser & costume supervisor! 👗🕶️  

Then it’s back on my bike 🚴‍♂️ and off to Årsta Teater to see *Utflykt till Hanging Rock* 🎭. You know, that eerie, hauntingly beautiful story of missing schoolgirls, mystery, and the unexplainable… 🌄😶‍🌫️ *Picnic at Hanging Rock* (the novel & film) has fascinated people for decades. Is it supernatural, or just psychological? Either way, I’m ready to be captivated.  

And then? You guessed it. Back on my bike 🚴 and straight to the theatre to continue working. Because when the stage calls, I always answer. 🎭💡

**What if costumes could tell their own stories?** 🎭✨

This is the oldest photo on my phone, taken on August 8, 2024, at the costume shop at the theatre. It captures Pontus Wonkawaara during a costume fitting, trying on the outfit for Axel, a role played by Fredrik Lycke. Pontus wears Axel’s cowboy hat 🤠, tan waistcoat, and a striped white shirt, though he keeps his own tan trousers since he’s a bit shorter than Fredrik.  
 

Standing with his back to a large mirror, Pontus’s reflection adds an interesting double perspective. To his right, costume creator Tim Mårtensson is seated, a yellow measuring tape draped around his neck ✂️🧵. To the left, we see only a portion of costume designer Annsofi Nyberg’s long black skirt and her black sneakers with white soles 👟. Between them, a gold fabric dress hangs elegantly, hinting at yet another theatrical transformation. ✨  

There’s something magical about seeing a costume take shape, knowing it will soon come to life on stage 🎶. These fittings are where characters are born, where an actor starts becoming their role. It’s a collaborative moment, filled with small adjustments, creative vision, and plenty of laughter. 😆  

Looking at this photo now, I wonder: How many stories have these costumes told? What if they could whisper their memories? 🎭💭

HOW I GOT THE MISSING TROUSERS BACK…

Editing yesterday’s stories 🎬 before biking 🚲 to the theatre. We’re packing up the show, and there’s a lot to do! Three actors are returning for the tour 🎭, but when they left, we didn’t know they'd be back—so now we have to find all their costumes.  

Before leaving my apartment in Midsommarkransen 🏡, I put up a string curtain by the balcony door 🌞. At work, Johanna has to climb over set pieces 🏗️ to retrieve costumes shoved into a ridiculously tight space. The ultimate treasure hunt! 🏴‍☠️  

The actor Jonas Schlyter is coming back, but his tan khakis? Nowhere to be found 👖🤔. I swear I looked everywhere! Until... I check the basement again—turns out I didn’t look well enough the first time. Victory! 🏆  

Every day, I share my daily life as a dresser & costume supervisor 🎭 at a Stockholm theatre. I also upload the oldest picture on my iPhone 📱, post it to social media, and then erase it forever. It keeps my feed fresh and nostalgic at the same time! ⏳✨

HOW I GOT STARTED WRITING A MUSICAL…

Editing yesterday’s stories ☕️💻, then texting Magnus 📱 to see if we should FaceTime later. But first—chaos control! Organizing my walk-in wardrobe 👔👗 and saying goodbye to a sideboard 📦 (down to the basement it goes!). Podcasts on 🎧, and suddenly… everything is *perfectly* organized 😍. Well, except for the stuff that doesn’t belong anywhere 🤦‍♂️.  

Time to write a musical 🎭! Heard about King James I 👑, so I asked ChatGPT for help 🤓. Turns out, his life is perfect for a show—drama, intrigue, and a few *fabulous* male favorites 👀✨. Song ideas are flowing, and thanks to Suno.com 🎶, this is really *happening*!  

Spring is here 🌷 but wow, the wind is *aggressive* 💨. Then, FaceTime with Magnus 🥂—it's March, so we’re celebrating *Marchtini* 🍸. Because, obviously.

**What if backstage moments were the real show? 🎭📸**

Throwback to June 14, 2024, at **Turteatern** in Kärrtorp, where my friend **Christian Hedenfeld** and I took this selfie with the set of that year’s farce, *Oj, en till!* in the background. The show was a hilarious whirlwind, featuring **Robert Gustafsson** playing three brothers—cue the quick changes, stand-ins, and all the backstage magic! 🎬✨

 Christian and I go way back, but we only started working together in **2018** as dressers for *Så som i himmelen*. Since then, we teamed up again on *Tootsie*, and nowadays, he’s at **Folkoperan**, even sewing costumes for *Trollflöjten*. Always in a **shirt** (seriously, have I ever seen him in anything else? 🤔😂).
