These are the oldest photos on my phone, taken on October 24, 2023, when my friend Magnus Borén and I were in Gothenburg to see *Wicked*, but first had time to do some sightseeing. This photo is from our visit to **Trädgårdsföreningen**, a lush, green oasis in the heart of Gothenburg. We also explored **Palmhuset**, a beautiful glasshouse filled with tropical and exotic plants. Both of these spots gave us a break from city life and a chance to relax before the big night at the musical.
In the photo, Magnus and I are standing inside the grand Palmhuset, surrounded by tall palm trees and vibrant greenery. It’s always amazing to see such a diverse range of plants, especially knowing that the building itself dates back to 1878, inspired by the Crystal Palace in London. The park and the Palm House felt like stepping into another world.
Visiting **Trädgårdsföreningen** was a peaceful and inspiring way to spend our day, with its carefully tended gardens, serene pathways, and the stunning **Rosarium**, featuring over a thousand varieties of roses. Even in late October, the atmosphere was perfect for a slow stroll, reflecting on the beauty of nature amidst a bustling city. We couldn’t resist a quick detour before seeing the *Wicked* show that night!
If you’re ever in Gothenburg, visiting Trädgårdsföreningen is a must. It's a perfect mix of history, nature, and relaxation, and it makes a great backdrop for capturing special moments with friends. I’m so glad I had time to visit before seeing *Wicked* — a memorable day all around.
