In today’s video, I’m starting off by editing yesterday’s Instagram Stories to create Reels for Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok—getting those transitions just right. Then, I hop on my bike and head to the theatre. It’s raining outside, but I’m all set with my trusty yellow raincoat, and nothing’s going to slow me down! When I arrive at the theatre, Nathalie Lodell tells me that my two new office chairs for the costume atelier have finally arrived. Honestly, I’ve been waiting for these, and they are worth it. To top it off, Hjalmar Freij’s new boots for the show are also here, ready to break in!
I also find out that Nils Weibull, one of the actors, has a hidden talent—he’s kind of a magician! That’s something I didn’t see coming, and it’s a fun surprise during a pretty typical day. Meanwhile, David Julio, our makeup designer, can’t help but get a little envious of my sleek new chairs. Sorry, David, maybe I’ll let you borrow one?
Before the show starts, I take a tour backstage and have some fun asking the cast and crew what their soap opera names would be. The rule is simple: it’s your middle name and the street you grew up on. Let me just say, the answers are hilarious. And just when I thought the day couldn’t get any better, I remember I picked up a new mustard on my way to work—because who doesn’t love discovering new flavors?
I’m living in Midsommarkransen, a cozy suburb of Stockholm, and working as a dresser and costume supervisor at a musical theatre here in the city. My daily routine always includes uploading a video to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Threads, as well as posting the oldest photo on my iPhone to all of those platforms before deleting it. It’s a fun way to stay connected while keeping my feed fresh and nostalgic all at once!
