Pre-Show Moments with the Cast

This is the oldest photo on my iPhone, taken on October 19, about an hour before the show starts. It features the actors Hjalmar Freij, Jonas Schlyter, Denny Lekström, and Tord Hansson, gathered around Jonas’s iPhone. Knowing them, they’re probably watching a sports event—these guys can never resist catching up on the latest game even in the middle of theatre chaos! What makes the moment even funnier is that while Jonas, Denny, and Tord are still in their regular clothes, Hjalmar is already half in costume, casually standing there in his tights, fishnet stockings, and robe, completely unbothered. It’s these behind-the-scenes moments that really show the balance between work and fun in the theatre world.

 This snapshot was taken backstage on stage, in that calm before the storm of performance energy. The actors are gathered in a cozy huddle, focused on the screen, oblivious to the flurry of pre-show preparations around them. It’s always interesting to see the different rituals and routines everyone has before stepping into character—some go for quiet meditation, others scroll through their phones for the latest updates. This time, it’s all about catching a few minutes of entertainment before the curtain rises.
