These are the oldest photos on my phone, taken on October 24, 2023, during a short visit to Gothenburg with my friend, Magnus Borén. We were there for some sightseeing, but our main mission was to see *Wicked* at Göteborgsoperan. The first two photos are of Magnus, standing on top of a hill, about to navigate down a narrow, winding stone staircase.
He looks so ready to tackle the city’s historic streets!
Then there’s a picture of me in an acid green sequin jacket and black faux fur, standing on a street in Gothenburg, on my way to the opera. I was feeling bold and sparkly, and this outfit was perfect for a night at the theatre.
The fourth photo is from inside the opera house — I took a shot from below, and the ceiling lights formed this awesome glowing effect, almost like a halo over me.
Finally, the last picture shows Magnus and me sitting in the auditorium, bathed in this intense acid green light, perfectly capturing the magical energy of the evening. It was one of those nights where everything felt surreal and special. We had such a fun time, filled with great company, vibrant energy, and the perfect dose of theatre magic!
I love these photos because they capture a special moment — from wandering the streets of Gothenburg to experiencing the grandeur of *Wicked* together. It’s always more meaningful when you can share those moments with friends. Plus, I think that green lighting was a sign we were in for something wickedly good!
