Savoring Summer Sunsets

This is the oldest photo on my phone, taken on June 14, 2023, on my balcony in Midsommarkransen, Stockholm. The image captures a cherished moment: my hand delicately holding a glass of white wine, most likely a crisp Riesling—my favorite. It's a snapshot of those golden summer evenings that I love, spent on my balcony watching the sun slowly dip below the horizon, immersed in a good book.

To the right of my hand, you can glimpse my quaint balcony table. Draped over it is a vibrant Sicilian tea towel, a gift from my friend Ulf Nordlander after his return from visiting Mats in Palermo. This colorful piece adds a touch of the Mediterranean to my Stockholm home, reminding me of distant places and the connections we share. 

In the background, the vase is an exquisite Aldo Londi Rimini Blue, a piece that not only adds beauty to the scene but also carries its own story—a tribute to timeless Italian craftsmanship. The deep blue of the vase contrasts beautifully with the golden hues of the sunset, creating a perfect harmony of colors and emotions.
