Behind the Scenes

This is the oldest photo on my phone, taken on August 28, 2023, during a special moment on stage at the theatre. It’s a group photo where everyone involved in the production, from cast to crew and creatives, gathers together for a picture that will be included in the show’s program. It’s our way of showing the audience just how many people it takes to bring a production to life.

I’m standing right next to Gustav, our sound engineer, and Markus, a temporary stagehand who’s actually a full-time guitarist. This shot captures the camaraderie we’ve built throughout the run of the show, and you can see the dedication on everyone’s face. From the actors in full costume to the backstage crew in their work gear, it’s a real behind-the-scenes look at the team effort that makes theatre magic happen.

Taken on the grand stage, the setting highlights the vastness of the theatre with the curtains pulled back and lights shining down, creating a dramatic backdrop for the photo. It’s one of those rare moments where we all pause in the middle of the hustle and bustle of production to come together, share a laugh, and snap this memory.

Featuring Gustav, Markus, and many others, this photo is more than just an image—it represents the collaborative energy and passion of the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes. What makes this image particularly special to me is that it reflects my journey and my role in a field I love. Being part of something larger, contributing to a show that brings joy to so many, and seeing the smiles and faces of my colleagues makes it even more meaningful.

This is one of those rare moments that remind me why I’m here—working as a dresser and costume supervisor, surrounded by brilliant people who each bring something unique to the table. The photo is not just a memory but a celebration of teamwork and passion.

HOW I GOT A SOCIAL EXPERIMENT TERRIBLE WRONG #dailycontent #theatrelife ...

In this funny and entertaining video, I kick off my day by editing yesterday’s Instagram stories into videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube, and TikTok. You know the drill—gotta keep the content flowing! Then, I hop on the subway to head to the theater. Normally, I bike, but yesterday's rain was so heavy I had to take the subway home. It’s still pouring, so I’m rocking my trusty (but rapidly disintegrating) yellow raincoat. Seriously, big chunks of it are falling off, and I can't figure out why. It’s like the raincoat is giving up on me one fleck at a time!

Once I get to the theater, I chat with David Julio, our makeup artist, and we get into a convo about Maggie Smith, who just passed away (RIP). I ask David what his favorite movies of hers are—he lists *Travels with My Aunt*, *A Room with a View*, *Death on the Nile*, and *Evil Under the Sun*. But here’s the kicker—he’s never seen *California Suite*! Like, how has he missed that gem? It’s a classic!

Meanwhile, I’m trying out a social experiment, and I think I’m onto something. I ask a bunch of people what their word for "splinter" is in Swedish. Turns out, almost everyone says "sticka"—except for people from Skåne or Norway! I knew it! They’ve got their own thing going on.

After the show, the rain has let up, so I hop back on my bike and head home. It’s always nice to end the day cycling through the streets of Midsommarkransen, the Stockholm suburb where I live. I work as a dresser and costume supervisor at a musical theatre here in the city, and every day is different, which makes it all so exciting.

Every day, I upload a video to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Threads. Afterward, I upload the oldest picture on my iPhone to all those platforms, and then I erase it from my phone. It’s my fun little ritual—it keeps my feed fresh and nostalgic at the same time.

"First Full Run-Through in Costume"

This is the oldest photo on my iPhone, taken on August 24, 2023, in the early afternoon. It captures a special moment just after one of the first full run-throughs of our latest production in costume. The cast is seated on stage, still in their elaborate outfits, while the director stands at the front, speaking to the team. You can feel the intensity and excitement in the air as everyone soaks in the feedback, preparing for the big premiere.

Taken on August 24, 2023, at our theater in Stockholm, this moment occurred during an early rehearsal stage, where everything started to fall into place. The full costumes added a new level of depth to the performance, making everything feel more real and tangible.

The focus here is on the cast in their costumes, seated together in a quiet moment of reflection and learning. While the director speaks, the actors are deeply engaged, listening to the notes that will refine their performance. It’s a perfect snapshot of the creative process—where hard work meets artistry.

In the background, you can see the stage backdrop, now dressed for the performance. The theater lights are dim, casting a soft glow over the scene. The costumes stand out in their vibrant colors and intricate designs, which tell the story of the characters they embody.

This photo features some of the talented cast members, who I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with in this production. Their commitment and energy bring the story to life every time we step into the rehearsal space.

For me, this moment is filled with anticipation and pride. Seeing the cast in full costume for the first time was a huge milestone. It felt like we were one step closer to opening night, and the hard work we’ve all put in is about to pay off.

This photo is meaningful to me because it represents a turning point in the production—the moment when everything felt real, and all the pieces started coming together. It’s a testament to the teamwork, dedication, and creativity that make theater magic.

I remember that day so clearly. It was one of those rare moments where you could feel the collective energy of the entire cast and crew. Everyone was tired, but there was a palpable excitement. It’s one of the reasons I love my job—getting to witness and be part of this creative journey.

HOW I GOT TO SEE SPIDER MAN CHANGING A LIGHTBULB #backstagelife #theatre...

Editing, commuting, and conquering the day – all in my usual chaotic fashion! 😄 It starts with me editing yesterday’s Instagram Stories for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube. You know that feeling when you’ve captured all this great content, and now you get to watch it come to life? That’s the best! Then it’s off to work – but not on my bike today because I left it at the theatre yesterday when I was in Norrköping. So, I’m on the subway again. 🚇

Once I arrive at the theatre, I remember I left a bunch of shoes at the show repair shop. Off I go, running this little errand to keep everything wardrobe-related in check. Meanwhile, I’m battling this annoying cough – trying to stay quiet backstage is NOT easy! 😂

At work, our stage manager Simon and props master Felicia were busy changing lightbulbs in the auditorium, climbing up like Spider-Man! It looked seriously terrifying – they’re way up there, but somehow, they make it work. 🕸️ And then, the show begins. With Joakim Jennefors out today, David took over as the stage manager, and everything ran smoothly as usual. It’s always exciting when the curtain goes up, and backstage is buzzing with energy. 🎭

If you’re new here, I live in Midsommarkransen, a lovely suburb of Stockholm, Sweden, and I work as a dresser and costume supervisor for a musical. My daily life is all about theatre, vegan cooking, and of course, vlogging! Every day, I upload a video to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Threads. And I’ve got this fun thing where I post the oldest picture on my iPhone, upload it, and then erase it – keeping my feed nostalgic but fresh. Through the Window of Time

This is the Oldest Photo on my Phone, taken on August 24, 2023, during a full-costume rehearsal at the theatre. It features Joakim Jennefors, one of the visiting Germans, dressed as a character from *A Clockwork Orange*. The shot is framed perfectly through a window in a 16th-century villa set, adding a unique layer to the story unfolding on stage. This moment occurs just before the big brawl, when the villagers arrive, and the tension finally breaks, escalating the hostility.

The photo captures the theatrical magic of blending different worlds, like a 16th-century setting with a futuristic twist from *A Clockwork Orange*. It's a powerful visual of how the play explores the complexity of time, space, and emotion. Joakim's intense expression through the window draws the viewer into the scene, making them feel part of the brewing conflict.

Taken in the middle of the action at the theatre, this photo reminds me of the energy and adrenaline that comes with working on such a powerful production. Seeing Joakim in that Clockwork Orange outfit, just before the chaos breaks loose, is a perfect representation of how the show balances dark humor and intense drama.

Featuring: Joakim Jennefors as a visiting German dressed like *A Clockwork Orange*, in the 16th-century villa set.

The energy from this rehearsal felt electric. The cast was so in tune with the scene, and watching them build toward the brawl was mesmerizing. This photo takes me right back to that moment, reminding me why I love my work as a dresser and costume supervisor—being part of something that brings stories to life, in every detail, down to the most unexpected costume choices.

HOW I GOT ANNA WINTOUR HOME FROM NORRKÖPING #TheatreFans #MusicalLovers...

In this fun and entertaining video, Martin and I are in Norrköping, and this is part two of our day trip! We’re on our way to see *Beetlejuice* at Östgötateatern, a charming but powerful theater that boasts more Swedish premieres than any other in Sweden—maybe even Europe. It’s a gem of a place! 🎭 We score some fantastic seats in the orchestra, right in the middle, with the perfect view of all the spooky action. 👻

During the intermission, we enjoy a glass of wine and chat about the show so far. The production is top-notch—world-class acting, singing, and direction—but let’s be honest, the second act… a bit of a mess. 😅 But hey, sometimes that’s part of the fun, right? After the show, while waiting for the train back to Stockholm, I give my thoughts on what went wrong in act two, but also what made it such an exciting and memorable night.

After a long day filled with good times, great theater, and catching up with friends, we board the train home. 🛤️ It’s always a joy to share these moments with you all, and I can’t wait to bring you along on more adventures!

And of course, I’m still keeping my daily content routine strong! Every day, I upload a new video to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Threads. And to keep my feed fresh, I share the oldest photo on my iPhone, then erase it. Nostalgic and organized—perfect! 😄

If you love theater, travel, or just a good laugh, make sure to check this out and let me know what you think of *Beetlejuice*! 💬

HOW I GOT ANNA WINTOUR TO NORRKÖPING #musicaltheatrelife #lifeinmotion ...

In this video, I kick off my day with some content creation, editing yesterday’s Instagram Stories into new posts for Reels, YouTube, and TikTok. Then it’s time to hop on my bike and head over to Stockholm Central station – we’re taking a day trip to Norrköping to see *Beetlejuice* at Östgötateatern!

Before the train, I swing by the theatre where I work to pick up two parcels I ordered online. Unboxing time! Inside, I find a quirky wooden figurine of Anna Wintour by Lucie Kaas and a fabulous sequin jacket from ASOS, both second-hand treasures from Tradera. Of course, I decide to bring both on the trip – the jacket might even make an appearance at *Beetlejuice*!

Once at the station, I meet up with Martin (I’m always early, of course). I pick up some Fisherman's Friend and vegan licorice to snack on during the trip. Then, while waiting at the platform, we bump into two of the actors from *Beetlejuice*, Daniel Sjöberg and Julia Küster. They tell us about their lives working in Norrköping, with Östgötateatern kindly providing them with apartments there, even though they’re based in Stockholm.

After arriving in Norrköping, we explore the famous cacti exhibition, and of course, do some second-hand shopping – the vintage scene here is amazing! To top it off, I meet a fan of my Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok parody, “Swedish Word of the Day.” She tells me how much she enjoys my videos and that they’ve even helped her learn Swedish (don’t worry, she knows it’s a joke!).

We wrap up the day with some delicious vegan burgers and beer at Bastard Burgers. Stay tuned for part two of this Norrköping adventure!

Let me know what you think of my new Anna Wintour figurine and if you'd rock that sequin jacket!

My favourite dish

I turned my favorite recipe into a song with the help of ChatGPT: Got it! Here's the revised version with all the exact measurements included:

---

**Verse 1:**

400 grams of veggie ground, put it in the pan

Half a deciliter of oil, give it that golden tan

One tablespoon of chili flakes, let them fill the air

Now four cloves of garlic, can you smell it everywhere?

One tablespoon of ginger, with four scallions too

Sauté till they soften, that’s what we’re gonna do

Half a deciliter of soy sauce, balsamic in the mix

Half a deciliter of peanut butter, gotta make it thick

**Chorus:**

This is my favorite dish, oh, it’s got that kick

One teaspoon of Sichuan spice, it’s what I can't resist

Stir it up, mix it well, one deciliter swish

Yeah, I'm cookin' up, cookin’ up my favorite dish

**Verse 2:**

Half a deciliter peanut butter smooth, makes it rich and sweet

Two tablespoons of sugar, it’s a combo hard to beat

One deciliter water, let it simmer low

400 grams of veggie ground, back into the flow

Boilin' up the noodles, just like the package shows

One deciliter peanuts, on the top they go

Mix it all together, let the flavors collide

In the kitchen, it’s a flavor ride

**Chorus:**

This is my favorite dish, oh, it’s got that kick

One teaspoon of Sichuan spice, it’s what I can't resist

Stir it up, mix it well, one deciliter swish

Yeah, I'm cookin' up, cookin’ up my favorite dish

**Bridge:**

Sizzle, stir, let it all combine

Every taste’s perfection, with each exact line

From the first bite to the very last

This flavor’s built to last, oh, it’s built to last

**Chorus:**

This is my favorite dish, oh, it’s got that kick

One teaspoon of Sichuan spice, it’s what I can't resist

Stir it up, mix it well, one deciliter swish

Yeah, I'm cookin' up, cookin’ up my favorite dish

**Outro:**

So grab your fork, don’t miss a beat

In the kitchen, where it all comes sweet

400 grams, every measure precise

This is my favorite dish, yeah, every bite’s so nice!

"Through the Window of Rehearsal"

This is the oldest photo on my phone, taken on August 24, 2023, from the left wing at the theatre. In this candid moment, we see a glimpse of the rehearsal for our latest musical through a window in the set design. The focus is on Lindy Larsson, dressed in full costume, deep in character as they perform the scene where the old men come to the house for coffee. Joining him on stage are Tuva B. Larsen, Gustaf Levin, and the legendary Tommy Körberg. The actors are in the middle of an intense and emotional scene, and even through the window, you can feel the energy and anticipation of the moment.

The photo was taken during a run-through, and it captures the magic of theatre in its rawest form. The actors were fully committed, immersed in the world of the story. It’s one of those rare behind-the-scenes moments that we, who work backstage, get to witness—the moments that happen before the audience ever gets to see them.

The background shows the intricate set design, with warm lighting highlighting the interior of the stage. From my vantage point in the wing, it almost looks like I’m peeking into a world that isn’t supposed to be seen. The window creates a natural frame, giving the photo a unique depth and perspective.

Featuring Lindy Larsson, Tuva B. Larsen, Gustaf Levin, and Tommy Körberg, this shot isn’t just about the actors, it’s about the craft—the dedication to the art of storytelling, even in rehearsals.

This photo is particularly meaningful to me because it reminds me of why I love working in theatre. There’s a special magic in these moments, seeing everything come together: the costumes, the sets, the performances. Watching these talented actors bring the script to life makes all the hard work worth it.

A funny anecdote: During this rehearsal, Lindy Larsson accidentally called Tommy Körberg by his character's name, which caused a ripple of laughter through the cast. Even in serious scenes, the camaraderie backstage is real, and moments like that remind me how close-knit we all are in this world.

HOW I GOT A LOT OF CHEAP INSTANT NOODLES #theatrelife #veganfoodideas #d...

In this fun and entertaining video, I start my day by editing yesterday's Instagram Stories into videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube, and TikTok. After that, I hop on my crosstrainer for a quick workout. Then, it's off to the theatre to take three pairs of shoes to the repair shop—costume maintenance is key! While I'm out, I also swing by the grocery store, and since they had a sale on instant noodles, I end up buying a lot more than I planned. But hey, you can never have too many noodles, right?

Later, since my friend Martin and I are heading to Norrköping soon, I start planning things for us to do while we're there. Any suggestions?

In the evening, I FaceTime with my friend Magnus, who's currently trying to finish three liters of wine before heading back to Stockholm. He’s got a couple of weeks left and insists we need a catchy name for drinking in September. His idea? "Septriplesectember." What do you think? 😂

I live in an apartment in Midsommarkransen, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden, and work as a dresser and costume supervisor at a musical theatre here in Stockholm. My main interests are vlogging, vegan cooking, theatre, and style. Every day I upload a video to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Threads. I also post the oldest picture on my iPhone to these platforms and then delete it from my phone. It’s my way of keeping things fresh and nostalgic at the same time.

Check out the video and leave your thoughts—especially if you have a better name than Magnus' "Septriplesectember!" 😜

"First Full Costume Run-Through"

This is the oldest photo on my phone, taken on August 17, 2023, at the theatre. We had just finished our first full run-through in costume, and you can feel the exhaustion in the air. The actors are sitting or standing on stage, all dressed in their beautiful costumes, while the director speaks to them. Everyone looks a bit tired, but that's expected after such a big milestone. There’s something special about the first run-through with costumes—it’s when the show starts to feel real, and you can see the characters truly coming to life.

Captured during this moment, you can see the cast members fully immersed in their roles, yet also drained from the physical and emotional effort. The lighting on stage sets a mood that mirrors their focus and dedication, and it’s moments like these that remind me why I love working in theatre.

The photo was taken at our theatre in Stockholm, during rehearsals for the latest musical. The main focus is on the cast, dressed head to toe in their costumes, and the director guiding them through the next steps. Featuring Tuva B. Larsson and Linda Larsson, among others, this photo marks an important step in the rehearsal process. Costumes often help actors truly embody their characters, and this day was the first time they could fully get into their roles with the right outfits.

Personally, this moment meant a lot to me because it’s the first real glimpse of what the final production will look like. Seeing everyone in full costume brings the creative vision together. There’s always a sense of pride and excitement, mixed with exhaustion, as the cast and crew start to feel the finish line approaching.

I remember one funny moment when one of the actors realized halfway through that they had their shoes on the wrong feet! It brought a much-needed laugh to the room.
