HOW I GOT MY FRIDA KAHLO TEA TOWEL #SurpriseDay #VeganLife #DailyVlog #A...

In this funny and entertaining video, I’m having the time of my life. When I turned 60, my friend Magnus was in South America, so we didn't celebrate. But all that will change now: we have this thing where instead of giving each other a lot of presents, we sort of give each other a day filled with surprises. All the recipient knows is that the other person is in charge of everything that day.

Magnus surprised me with a trip to Skokloster Castle, three hours outside of Stockholm, by boat. While there, we go for a guided tour, and then we have lunch before going to see a fashion exhibition. As we are waiting for the bus home, he treats me to some surprise bubbly. A fantastic day!

Skokloster Castle, located near Lake Mälaren in Sweden, is one of the most well-preserved baroque castles in the world. Built between 1654 and 1676 by Carl Gustaf Wrangel, a Swedish military commander and statesman, the castle is a magnificent example of baroque architecture and design. Its construction was never fully completed, which adds to its unique charm.

The castle houses an impressive collection of art, furniture, textiles, and books, reflecting the wealth and taste of its original owners. One of the highlights is the armory, which contains a vast collection of weapons and armor from various periods and regions. The library boasts a rich assortment of rare books and manuscripts, making it a treasure trove for historians and bibliophiles.

The interiors of Skokloster Castle are lavishly decorated with intricate stucco work, ornate ceilings, and beautiful tapestries. Visitors can explore various rooms, each offering a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the Swedish nobility during the 17th century.
