Just four ingredients—water, oats, oil, and salt—are all you need to make your own oat milk! Your taste buds, wallet, and heart will thank you! Here’s the ridiculously simple recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- 10 dl water
- 2 dl AXA oats
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2-3 tbsp neutral oil
HOW TO PREPARE THE RECIPE
1. Measure out 2 dl of oats and 10 dl of water, and blend them together. Add a pinch of salt and the oil. Coconut oil or rapeseed oil works well.
2. If you like flavored oat milk, you can add vanilla, cinnamon, or cardamom. Use 0.5-1 tsp of flavoring per liter of finished oat milk.
3. Blend the mixture until the milk is completely smooth with no lumps. Pour the milk through a juice strainer to strain out the oat residue. If you don't have a juice strainer, you can strain it through a kitchen towel. Sometimes the strainer can get clogged, and you may need to squeeze out the last drops with your hands (don't forget to wash your hands first).
4. Pour the milk into well-cleaned bottles and store them in the fridge. Drink within 5-7 days. Don't forget to shake the milk before drinking it, as oat milk tends to separate.
