This is the Oldest Photo on my Phone, taken on September 23, 2023, during a rehearsal for our latest musical at the theatre. The ensemble and Linda Larsson are rehearsing the opening number, set in a smoky Berlin cabaret, where Tuva B. Larsson’s character, Fanny, makes her grand entrance. This was the first time the actors were all in their stunning, provocative costumes, and they finally got their shoes. Funny how shoes seem like such a small thing, but for the actors, they’re a huge deal! It’s the foundation of their characters – quite literally – and getting to wear them early helps them embody their roles fully.
The stage is buzzing with energy as the cast works through the choreography, music, and stage directions, bringing their characters to life. You can feel the atmosphere of anticipation and excitement in the air as we get closer to opening night. Even though it's just a rehearsal, there’s something magical about seeing the pieces start to come together.
